About Us
Zymofix is a dynamic and innovative scale up dedicated to fostering sustainable and circular agriculture. We specialize in creating effective and economically viable microbial products designed to reduce farmers' reliance on agrochemicals while maintaining high productivity. Positioned at the forefront of sustainable agriculture, we are committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions that empower farmers to grow healthy crops and improve yields without resorting to chemical fertilizers. Zymofix is planning the construction of an industrial-scale demonstration plant in 2027. The Role As Business Operations Associate your core role will be to take ownership of projects that matter, from first idea to finished result. The job is mostly project-based. One project might be a market study for a new crop or region, the next might be designing the layout of our new offices or setting up our company OKRs. You will often get a question with little more than a goal attached. We trust you to figure out the rest: to structure the problem yourself and to deliver work of a high standard.

What You'll Do
Your main focus is on strategic and operational projects. You will:
• Take full ownership of company-wide projects, from scoping and planning to execution and follow-up.
• Conduct market research and analyses, for example on new markets, crops, competitors or customer segments, and translate findings into clear recommendations.
• Set up and follow up on our company OKRs together with management and team leads.
• Handle confidential information, such as financial, strategic and personnel matters, with discretion. As Zymofix grows, new projects will land on your desk. Who We're Looking For You might be our perfect match if you meet the requirements below. But don't worry if you don't tick every box, we dare you to apply anyway. You never know if there’s another role at Zymofix that's a better fit for your skills.
• You hold a master's degree in Bioscience Engineering (bio-ingenieur) or business engineering with a strong affinity for industrial biotechnology.
• You are mature and discreet, and you know how to handle confidential information.
• You set a high standard for the work you deliver: well thought out, structured and well presented.
• You need few instructions to deliver a strong result. You structure a problem yourself, ask the right questions and take it from there.
• You enjoy project work and are comfortable juggling several projects at once.
• You have strong analytical skills and can turn research and data into clear, actionable conclusions.
• You communicate fluently in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Work experience, in consulting or a startup environment, is a plus.
