Test Automation Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join our client in Brussels, Belgium. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out software testing activities, developing and maintaining automated tests, and ensuring the quality and reliability of applications. You will work closely with development, QA, and project teams within an Agile environment. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Cypress, Selenium, JavaScript, ReadyAPI, Azure DevOps, SQL databases, Hub and Spoke architecture, and Atlassian tools.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan, design, execute, and maintain software testing activities.
• Perform different types of testing, including functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and other relevant testing activities.
• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Cypress and Selenium.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases.
• Identify, document, track, and follow up on software defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Perform API testing using ReadyAPI.
• Perform database testing and data validation using SQL.
• Develop and maintain test automation solutions using JavaScript technologies.
• Use Azure DevOps as part of the testing and software delivery lifecycle.
• Work with applications and systems based on Hub and Spoke architecture.
• Use and manage testing-related activities through Atlassian tools, including Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, and Bamboo.
• Maintain accurate test cases, test results, defect reports, and other relevant QA documentation.
• Collaborate closely with developers, QA professionals, business stakeholders, and other project team members to investigate and resolve issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and practices.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing, including:
• Functional testing
• Regression testing
• Smoke testing
• Sanity testing
• Other relevant software testing activities
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in Agile environments. Test Automation & Technologies
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Cypress.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Selenium.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with JavaScript technologies.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with ReadyAPI.
