Client Engagement Role
Reports to: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Employment type: Full-time
About the role
Client is advancing Smart Construction and enterprise performance through structured delivery and continuous improvement. Reporting to the CTO, this role builds and runs a PMO that embeds LEAN, PDCA, and Six Sigma coaching across technology, digital, and operational improvement programmes—so initiatives are governed, coached, and sustained, not just tracked.
Key responsibilities
PMO & programme governance
• Establish and run PMO standards: intake, prioritisation, RAID, stage gates, benefits tracking, and executive reporting for CTO-sponsored programmes
• Maintain a clear portfolio view of initiatives (status, risks, dependencies, value) and escalate early when delivery or benefits are at risk
• Align PMO cadence with cross-functional owners (projects, operations, digital, transformation) LEAN / PDCA / Six Sigma coaching
• Coach project and functional teams to apply LEAN, PDCA, and Six Sigma (DMAIC) on real work—not classroom-only training
• Facilitate problem-solving sessions (A3, kaizen, value-stream / process mapping) that produce measurable productivity, quality, safety, or cost outcomes
• Build internal capability: playbooks, toolkits, and a coaching network so improvement methods stick after the coach leaves the room Delivery & benefits
• Partner with initiative owners to turn ideas into executable plans with owners, timelines, KPIs, and benefit hypotheses
• Track benefits realisation (e.g. cycle time, rework, utilisation, cost-to-serve) and close the loop with data
• Support change adoption in a project-based construction environment—balance challenge with practical support on site and in the office Requirements
• Solid PMO / programme management experience in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment (construction, engineering, industrial, or large enterprise preferred)
• Hands-on LEAN, PDCA, and/or Six Sigma coaching experience (Black Belt or equivalent strongly preferred; Green Belt minimum with proven coaching track record)
• Proven ability to coach and influence without heavy formal authority
• Comfortable with data-driven diagnosis and simple, clear executive reporting
• Strong facilitation skills; bilingual English and Cantonese preferred (Mandarin a plus)
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, or heavy project delivery is an advantage Nice to have
• Exposure to digital / Smart Construction, transformation, or operating-model change
• Consulting + in-house delivery mix
• Familiarity with benefits frameworks and continuous-improvement operating systems What success looks like (first 6–12 months)
• A working PMO rhythm the CTO and initiative owners actually use
• At least several coached improvement cycles with documented before/after metrics
• A reusable LEAN/PDCA/Six Sigma coaching toolkit adopted by more than one team
