Location:
50% Brussels 110 days per year The Role You will work as part of a development team, contributing your full-stack expertiseto deliver features end to end, from user interface to backend services and data. Our solutions run mainly on Azure, deployedthrough Azure DevOpspipelines. Our currentstack is Java and Spring Boot with React and TypeScript. AI-assisted development is part of how we work. We value demonstrated experience over familiarity with the concepts. What You'llDo
• Design and build backendservices and the web front-ends that use them.
• Integrate with other systemsthrough well-defined contracts.
• Design and evolve the data model for each solution.
• Refine requirements with the Product Owner and functional experts, and assess technical feasibility.
• Apply software engineering best practices: clean code, automatedtesting, continuous integration and deployment.
• Run your features in production: monitoring, alerting, incident response.
• Take part in design and code reviews. What We're Looking For
• 5+ years building production applications with Java / Spring Boot and React / TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of software design and enterprise integration patterns, and the judgement to pick the right one or keep it simple.
• You design and buildinterfaces that are clear, consistent and easy to use, even for applications with complex data.
• Experience with several architectural styles on both tiers.
• Hands-on Azure and Azure DevOps experience.
• Data modelling and databasedesign skills. PostgreSQL and Oracle.
• Solid delivery practice: automated testing, quality gates,DevSecOps.
• Experience in SAFe/Agile teams.
• A proactive mindsetto review requirements, challenge assumptions when necessary, and raise concerns regarding feasibility or clarity.
• Experience with AI-assisted development, including handling the problems it introduces. Nice to have: Angular,event-driven systems, performance testing. Pre-Employment & Onboarding Requirements
