China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited (“the Company” or “China State Hong Kong”) started its construction business in Hong Kong in 1979. The Company engages in building construction and civil engineering works. China State Hong Kong is among the largest construction contractors in Hong Kong, and is approved by the Works Bureau, to be on the List of Approved Contractors (Group C) for Public Works in the five major categories of building and civil engineering works, namely, “Buildings”, “Port Works”, “Roads and Drainage”, “Site Formation” and “Waterworks”. Responsibilities
• Carry out inspection of all E&M, fire service, plumbing & drainage, lift and ventilation installations on site.
• Witness statutory testing and commissioning of building services systems, and verify compliance with approved submissions, codes and standards.
• Verify as-built drawings and O&M manuals against the actual installation on site.
• Report inspection findings and track the rectification of defects and non-conformities until close-out.
• Coordinate with the Resident Building Services Engineer and the Building Services Designer on inspection matters. Requirements
• Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Services from a recognized Hong Kong institution, or equivalent.
• Level 2 / Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKCEE, or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant building services site experience, with at least 6 years of post-qualification experience as a Building Services Inspector.
• Completed the following mandatory safety training courses:
• Occupational Safety and Health Management Course
• Basic Accident Prevention Course
• Construction Industry Safety Card Course (Green Card)
• Certified Worker Training Course for Confined Spaces
