About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Functional Security Analyst with a strong interest in emerging technologies and application security. You will join a dynamic team responsible for addressing application security challenges across solutions developed for our clients. Working alongside functional analysts, developers, architects, and cybersecurity specialists, you will progressively build expertise in secure software development and application security. With guidance from experienced colleagues, you will help translate business needs into clear functional and security requirements throughout the application development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Functional Security Analyst, you will: Security Requirements & Governance
Support the preparation of functional and technical specifications related to application security.
Help define and implement a Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) aligned with industry standards and NIST best practices.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate appropriate security controls throughout the application lifecycle.
Assist in verifying compliance with applicable security standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. Vulnerability & Risk Management
Monitor software vulnerabilities and help identify potential risks impacting applications.
Review vulnerability reports from internal and external sources, including vulnerability databases and security assessment tools.
Document findings and contribute to the communication of security risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Security Testing & Continuous Improvement
Assist in the preparation, coordination, and follow-up of application security testing activities.
Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and application security trends.
Contribute to security awareness initiatives and knowledge-sharing activities within the organization. Profile You hold a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field, or have acquired equivalent knowledge through relevant training or hands-on experience. You may be a recent graduate or have some initial professional experience in software development, functional analysis, IT, or cybersecurity. You are:

Basic understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile and DevOps.
Familiarity with application security concepts and standards such as OWASP, NIST, or ASVS.
Basic understanding of security concepts including: o Authentication. o Authorization and access control. o Encryption. o Software vulnerabilities. Analysis & Communication
Ability to understand technical topics and translate them into clear requirements and documentation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable asking questions to deepen understanding. Teamwork
Enjoy working with multidisciplinary teams, including developers, architects, analysts, and security specialists.
Demonstrate a collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from experienced colleagues. Tools & Development Lifecycle
Basic familiarity with application lifecycle and development tools such as: o Jira. o Git. o Jenkins. Nice-to-Have Skills The following knowledge is considered an asset but is not required: Software Supply Chain Security
Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) concepts and formats such as CycloneDX or SPDX.
Vulnerability management platforms such as Dependency-Track. Vulnerability Assessment
Vulnerability scoring and prioritization methodologies such as CVSS and EPSS. Security Frameworks & Architecture
Security frameworks such as ISO 27001.
Threat modeling techniques and secure software architecture principles. Security Testing
