We are looking for a Senior AVEVA System Platform / OMI Solution Expert to support the evolution of a business-critical 24/7 SCADA environment used for real-time balancing of power generation and consumption across multiple European countries. The mission is part of a large-scale transformation program aimed at implementing a standardized SCADA platform based on AVEVA System Platform and OMI for the control and monitoring of industrial assets.
The consultant will combine hands-on engineering activities with technical leadership responsibilities, contributing to the design, implementation, industrialization, governance, and continuous improvement of the future SCADA platform. The role focuses on real-time operational systems supporting power dispatching, energy management, grid balancing services, renewable integration, battery storage systems, and industrial automation.
Your
missions:
• Support the migration and evolution of existing SCADA environments towards a standardized AVEVA System Platform / OMI architecture.
• Design scalable, maintainable, and reusable industrial software solutions.
• Translate operational and business requirements into robust SCADA solutions.
• Support real-time control and monitoring of production assets, renewable installations, and flexible energy assets.
• Contribute to automation of decision-making processes supporting ancillary services delivery.
• Participate in architecture governance and technical steering activities.
• Define and promote engineering standards, modelling conventions, and development best practices.
• Mentor developers and contribute to knowledge transfer initiatives.
• Ensure platform consistency, reliability, maintainability, and long-term scalability.
• Contribute to the industrialization strategy of the future SCADA platform. Your activities: Solution Design & Technical Leadership
• Define and maintain AVEVA System Platform modelling standards.
• Establish reusable object templates and engineering conventions.
• Support architectural decisions related to AVEVA technologies.
• Review, challenge, and validate technical solutions proposed by project teams.
• Ensure consistency across multiple projects and development streams.
• Contribute to platform scalability, maintainability, and governance.
• Review technical deliverables and engineering quality.
• Participate in technical steering committees and discussions with architects and senior stakeholders.
• Support long-term industrialization and standardization initiatives. Development & Engineering
• Develop, test, and maintain applications based on AVEVA System Platform.
• Design and implement ArchestrA object models and reusable templates.
• Design and implement advanced OMI visualization concepts.
• Develop ASP scripts and associated business logic.
• Perform technical analysis and application design activities.
• Produce effort estimations and engineering assessments.
• Support migration projects from legacy SCADA systems.
• Participate directly in implementation activities alongside development teams. Integration & Operations
• Support installation and configuration of:
• AVEVA System Platform
• AVEVA OMI
• AVEVA Historian
• Design integration strategies for industrial communication infrastructures.
• Troubleshoot complex platform and application issues.
• Perform root cause analysis for critical incidents.
• Support production systems operating in a 24/7 environment when required.
• Contribute to improving platform stability, availability, and operational excellence. Knowledge Sharing & Collaboration
• Coach and mentor developers on AVEVA technologies and best practices.
• Support knowledge transfer towards internal teams.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
• Contribute to engineering standards and governance frameworks.

• Experience collaborating with AVEVA, AVEVA-certified organizations, ecosystem partners, or equivalent environments.
• Demonstrated experience defining engineering standards and industrial software governance.
