Senior Consultant

AION Consulting is not a traditional consulting firm. We advise large corporations, public institutions, investment funds, scale-ups and SMEs on strategy, transformation, governance and operational performance. As we continue to grow across Belgium, France and Luxembourg, we are looking for a Senior Consultant in Transformation to join our Brussels team and support clients in delivering complex projects and transformation programmes. You role You will support clients in structuring, coordinating and delivering transformation initiatives, with a strong focus on Project Management Office (PMO), programme governance and project delivery. 1. PMO & project management
• Set up and manage PMO activities for complex projects and programmes.
• Develop project plans, roadmaps, dashboards and reporting frameworks.
• Monitor milestones, budgets, risks, dependencies and deliverables.
• Coordinate workstreams and ensure effective follow-up on actions and decisions.
• Prepare steering committees, management reports and executive presentations. 2. Transformation & Gouvernance
• Support the implementation of transformation roadmaps and operational initiatives.
• Establish effective project governance, roles and responsibilities.
• Coordinate business, IT and operational stakeholders.
• Identify risks, resolve delivery issues and escalate when necessary.
• Improve project management practices, processes and ways of working. 3. Client & Team Development
• Build trusted relationships with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to proposals, tenders and business development activities.
• Share methodologies and best practices with colleagues.
• Support junior consultants and contribute to the development of AION's transformation practice. The objective is simple: bring structure to complexity, align stakeholders and ensure that projects deliver results.

Your profile
We are looking for a structured, proactive and client-oriented consultant who combines methodological rigour with a pragmatic approach to delivery. You ideally have:
• At least 5 years of experience in consulting, with significant exposure to PMO, programme management or transformation projects.
• Experience in IT, public administration or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and delivery frameworks, including Agile, Waterfall or hybrid approaches.
• Proven experience in project planning, governance, risk management, stakeholder coordination and executive reporting.
• Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills.
• A Master's degree in Management, IT, Economics or a related field. Languages
• Dutch: fluent — mandatory.
• English: fluent — essential.
