Head Accountant

About us
For our client, a European leader in the construction industry, we are looking for a bilingual Chief Accountant to join the Belux headquarters in Brussels. Your Mission As Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for the accuracy of the headquarters' financial figures and for consolidating the financial data of all Belux subsidiaries to be reported to the headquarters in Paris. You will hold a central position within the organization and act as the key contact for all matters related to accounting, taxation, treasury, IFRS consolidation, and certain financial tools. You will also be involved in the pilot team responsible for the implementation of SAP within the Group. As part of the implementation of the SAP Finance Suite, you will act as the key liaison for the headquarters accounting team and will be responsible for:
• Clarifying accounting processes and business requirements to support SAP configuration;
• Performing testing activities during the deployment phase;
• Informing and training colleagues to facilitate the adoption of the new SAP environment. You will report directly to the CFO and manage a team of two people: a Senior Accountant and an Accounting Assistant. Your Responsibilities
• Supervise the full accounting cycle (A to Z) and all tax-related activities for four companies, ensuring compliance with reporting deadlines;
• Prepare actual and forecast reporting for headquarters, requiring frequent interaction with all departments at head office;
• Manage treasury reporting for the BeLux Group through the submission of daily and monthly reports to the shareholder in France;
• Serve as the primary contact for IFRS consolidation, including quarterly reporting, analysis, and audit coordination;
• Contribute to the preparation and analysis of the overall BeLux Group reporting, challenging subsidiaries on performance and responding to inquiries from headquarters in Paris.
• SAP Finance Suite Implementation Profile The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications, skills, and

experience:
• Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field;
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar position with experience in consolidation;
• Strong experience with SAP financial processes and systems;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and advanced Excel skills;
• Fluent in both French and Dutch;
• Flexible, with previous experience managing a team;
• Accurate, detail-oriented, versatile, and able to meet strict closing deadlines;
• Strong team spirit and excellent communication skills;
• Autonomous, assertive, and capable of critical thinking;
• Respectful of confidentiality and highly responsible.
