About The Role
What if your voice could directly shape how AI speaks to millions of German speakers around the world? We're looking for experienced German-language voice actors to record and evaluate high-quality audio that helps train and refine next-generation AI speech systems. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for working voice professionals. No AI background needed — just a commanding voice, native-level German fluency, and access to a quality recording setup. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract

What You'll Do
Record professional-grade German voice audio using a large diaphragm microphone (LDM), following provided scripts and creative prompts Evaluate AI-generated German speech for natural flow, pronunciation accuracy, and emotional authenticity Provide clear, structured, and actionable feedback to improve synthesized voice outputs Review scripts and suggest refinements to enhance clarity and ensure natural-sounding delivery Work independently and asynchronously — entirely on your own schedule Who You Are Experienced voice actor, narrator, audiobook reader, or voice-over professional Native or near-native fluency in German with a strong command of natural spoken expression Reliable access to a large diaphragm microphone and a quiet, acoustically controlled recording environment Able to deliver engaging, expressive, and well-articulated vocal performances consistently Sharp ear for nuance — you notice subtle differences in tone, pacing, clarity, and pronunciation Detail-oriented and self-motivated when working independently Nice to Have Experience recording for broadcast, e-learning, corporate narration, or animation Familiarity with regional German dialects or Austrian and Swiss German variations Prior experience evaluating audio quality or providing linguistic feedback Exposure to AI tools or speech technology as a user or collaborator Why Join Us Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs and Fortune 500 companies Fully remote and flexible — record and review on your own schedule, from your own studio Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, well-defined task-based work Your voice directly contributes to AI systems that will shape how technology speaks to German speakers worldwide Top contributors may be invited to lead and shape future initiatives as new projects launch Gain firsthand exposure to state-of-the-art large language models and AI speech training workflows
