Business / Functional Analyst – Trading – Consultant Permanent Contract eXalt is recruiting, for one of its clients in Brussels, a senior Business Analyst to join a team working on business-critical applications supporting trading activities. About the job As a Business Analyst, you will work within a team covering several applications and functional responsibilities related to trading room activities and data-oriented topics. You will operate at the interface between business users and technical teams, contributing to the analysis of business needs, the coordination of application-related activities, and the functional support of users. The role requires the ability to understand complex functional contexts, work across multiple applications, and collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and management stakeholders. The environment includes data-related subjects, including data engineering and data analysis. The ability to write or understand Python scripts is appreciated, although it is not a mandatory requirement.

Your profile
You have around 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or in a closely related role within complex trading or financial environments. You have a strong knowledge of the financial markets, ideally with exposure to commodities. Experience with trading tools is highly valued. You are comfortable working in an environment combining functional analysis, trading activities, and data-related applications. You can navigate between different application scopes and understand the functional challenges associated with each of them. Experience or familiarity with Python scripting is a plus. You are fluent in English and able to work in a professional French-speaking environment. Meetings are frequently held in English, while French is also used in day-to-day interactions and interviews.
