Role Summary Based in Shanghai (home-based office), the Chief Engineer is the senior technical leadership and authoritative technical decision-maker of PTG China, overseeing end-to-end technical management for the company’s full portfolio of new energy projects covering project development, construction implementation and operational lifecycle. This role spans utility-scale photovoltaic plants (including floating PV), battery energy storage systems and hydrogen fuel cell integrated technologies. The incumbent will lead all core technical solution formulation and cross-party technical negotiations, deliver professional technical due diligence and independent evaluation reports to the investment team for equity investment target screening and project assessment, and drive the standardized, high-quality and low-risk delivery of all PTG China new energy projects. Regular business travel between Shanghai and MENA regions (primarily Morocco) is required. Core Job Responsibilities Full Lifecycle Technical Leadership: Lead technical scheme design, core technology route selection and overall engineering optimization for PTG’s key projects including floating PV, conventional utility-scale PV, BESS, hydrogen fuel cells and multi-energy integrated systems across all project development and implementation stages. Equipment & Engineering Standardization: Define, review and approve technical specifications for core primary and secondary equipment, including PV modules, inverters, power transformers, floating body HDPE systems, mooring systems, hydrogen electrolyzers, fuel cell stacks, and EMS/SCADA intelligent monitoring systems, as well as key balance-of-system (BOS) components. Cross-Party Technical Negotiation & Contract Endorsement: Serve as the core technical lead for all technical negotiations with EPC contractors, equipment OEMs, grid authorities, power off-takers and governmental technical regulatory bodies; take charge of reviewing and signing off on all technical clauses in engineering contracts and power purchase agreements (PPAs). Investment-Focused Technical Due Diligence: Conduct independent, in-depth technical due diligence for all equity investment targets and new project pipelines for the investment team, covering power generation yield verification, technical risk identification and assessment, CAPEX/OPEX benchmarking analysis, and project bankability technical evaluation, and deliver authoritative technical assessment opinions. Engineering Research & Project Approval Management: Oversee the full technical process of project feasibility studies, basic engineering design, detailed construction design, grid connection feasibility analysis and project performance guarantee system formulation to ensure technical rationality and project compliance. Team & External Resource Management: Build, develop and lead the internal engineering team covering electrical engineering, civil & structural engineering, automatic control, energy storage and hydrogen technology domains; manage and coordinate external design institutes, third-party supervision teams and owner’s engineering teams to ensure efficient project delivery. Technical System Establishment & Compliance: Develop and iterate PTG’s internal technical standards, design specifications and QA/QC management systems, build a project experience and lesson-learning knowledge base; ensure all project designs and implementations fully comply with Chinese GB standards, IEC, IEEE international codes and local host country specifications (including Morocco’s ONEE and MASEN regulatory requirements). Construction & Operation Technical Support: Provide professional technical support for on-site construction, resolve technical deviations, change order technical reviews and non-conformance rectification issues, and guide project commissioning work; support the operation and maintenance team in implementing performance optimization and equipment repowering upgrading initiatives. Industry & Government Technical Representation: Represent PTG in industry technical committees, expert review meetings and government industry technology consultation activities, shape technical industry influence and maintain good technical brand image for the company. Required Qualifications & Competencies Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power System Automation, Renewable Energy Engineering or related disciplines; Master’s degree is highly preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) certification or Senior Engineer professional title is a strong mandatory advantage. Professional

Experience:
Minimum 15 years of working experience in the new energy industry, including no less than 8 years of senior technical leadership experience serving as Chief Engineer, Technical Director or equivalent senior management roles. Proven successful end-to-end delivery experience of utility-scale PV projects of 200MW+; solid practical experience in BESS and hydrogen fuel cell project technical management is required. Core Technical Capabilities: In-depth mastery of utility-scale and floating PV plant design, grid connection scheme optimization, power quality analysis, BESS capacity configuration and intelligent control logic, and hydrogen production, storage and fuel cell system integration technology. Proficient in industry professional tools including PVsyst, ETAP, DIgSILENT or equivalent engineering simulation and analysis software. Commercial & Negotiation Capabilities: Rich track record of leading commercial-grade technical negotiations for EPC general contracting, equipment procurement and PPA agreements; capable of balancing technical rigor and commercial benefits, and converting professional technical advantages into project commercial value and risk control barriers. Language Proficiency: Fluent in Mandarin with native-level communication skills; proficient professional English for full working scenarios. French language capability is a significant plus, matching the company’s core business layout in Morocco and North Africa. Willingness to Travel: Able to adapt to international business travel (Morocco, Middle East, Europe) with a travel ratio of up to 30%.
