To strengthen our office in Gent, we are looking for an Estate Planner. Your role As an Estate Planner, you will advise clients on the legal, civil and tax aspects of their estate and assist them in the structuring and transfer of their wealth. You will work closely with our relationship managers and other internal specialists. Where appropriate, you will also coordinate with external advisers such as notaries, lawyers and accountants. The position combines technical expertise, client-oriented advice and accurate administrative follow-up. You will take ownership of your files from the initial analysis through to their practical implementation and documentation.

• Analyse the personal, family and financial situation of clients and identify their estate-planning needs.
• Develop clear, structured and understandable estate-planning recommendations for our clients, taking into account the relevant civil and tax framework.
• Support relationship managers during client meetings and contribute estate-planning expertise to the overall client relationship.
• Prepare written estate-planning analyses, client reports, internal notes and other supporting documentation.
• Ensure the accurate administrative processing, documentation and follow-up of your files.
• Monitor the implementation of proposed solutions and coordinate, where necessary, with notaries, lawyers, accountants and other external advisers.
• Follow developments in civil law, inheritance law and taxation and analyse their potential impact on our clients.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, technical training and communications on estate-planning topics.

Your profile
• You hold a Master’s degree in Law, Tax Law, Notarial Law or another relevant field.
• You have at least five years of relevant professional experience in the financial sector, preferably in private banking, wealth management, estate planning, taxation, a notarial environment or a related advisory role.
• You have a solid knowledge of civil law, inheritance law and taxation, and you are able to apply this knowledge to concrete client situations.
• You combine strong analytical abilities with a pragmatic and client-oriented approach.
• You are willing to take responsibility for both the substantive and administrative aspects of your files.
• You work in a structured and accurate manner and have a strong eye for detail.
• You communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing.
• You have a very good command of Dutch. A good working knowledge of French and English is an important asset.
• You are a team player who can also work independently and take ownership of assignments.
• You will mainly work from our office in Ghent, while remaining flexible and willing to travel regularly to our other Belgian offices when required.
• You are motivated to further develop your technical expertise, client-facing skills and responsibilities, with the ambition to grow into a more senior Estate Planning role. Your development path This position is intended for an Estate Planner who already has relevant professional experience and wants to deepen their expertise within an integrated wealth-management environment. By combining technical work, client contact, internal collaboration and full ownership of the administrative follow-up of files, you will gradually expand your responsibilities and develop towards a more senior Estate Planning role.
