Regular Exempt GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Junior Account Executive serves as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of low-complexity accounts, building and maintaining strong client relationships through proactive service, effective communication, and timely resolution of customer needs. This role coordinates cross-functional resources to ensure a seamless customer experience that supports renewals for assigned groups and contributes to client retention by identifying issues, responding to service requests, and promoting customer satisfaction. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Manages an assigned portfolio of lower-complexity accounts and serves as the primary point of contact for those clients, while also providing account management support to Account Executives as needed. Assesses client needs, prioritizes account activities, coordinates internal resources, and monitors deadlines. Escalates matters involving significant financial, regulatory, or strategic impact.
• Leads the preparation and execution of renewals for assigned accounts by reviewing account information, collaborating with Finance and other internal departments, and developing presentations, documentation, and recommendations. Presents standard renewal proposals within established business parameters and participates in more complex renewal initiatives to expand account management expertise, strengthen client relationship skills, and prepare for increased levels of responsibility.
• Evaluates and coordinates the resolution of service matters reported by clients and producers, determines the appropriate course of action within established guidelines, and monitors commitments through completion. Conducts client visits, maintains account work plans and records, identifies service trends and retention risks, and escalates exceptions or high-impact concerns.
• Coordinates client meetings, benefits orientations, information booths, educational interventions, and other account-related activities, including those occasionally scheduled outside regular business hours. Explains approved benefits, administrative materials, company platforms, and available resources to clients, producers, employers, and employees.
• Coordinates group implementations, coverage changes, and renewals for assigned accounts by validating benefits and client information in company systems, identifying discrepancies, and working with the appropriate departments to complete corrective actions. Ensures the timely delivery of identification cards, provider directories, Certificates of Coverage, and other required materials.
• Monitors compliance with established commitments and ensures that account activities are performed in accordance with HIPAA, company procedures, and applicable regulatory standards.
• It is a requirement to commit and actively participate in recurring continuing education courses and webinars from the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (OCS) to ensure compliance with all requirements necessary to obtain and renew the licenses required for the successful performance of the position's essential functions. QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and

Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Health Services Administration, or related fields. At least six (6) months year of experience in customer service, account management, or performing similar functions in the Healthcare Insurance Industry is preferred. OR Education and

Experience:
Associate's Degree. At least one (1) years of experience in customer service, account management, or performing similar functions in the Healthcare Insurance Industry is preferred. Certifications / Licenses: A Driver's License valid in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico is required. Candidates or current employees who do not possess the required Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (OCS) licenses (Health Services, Disability and Health, and Life) must commit to obtain the required licenses by successfully passing the examination(s) administered by the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (OCS). Timeframe for New Employees: Newly hired employees must obtain the required licenses within six (6) months of their hired date following the issuance of a provisional license. Timeframe for Current Employees: Current employee’s who are issued a provisional license must obtain the required license(s) within six (6) months of the provisional license issuance date. Examination Requirement: Employee’s must successfully pass the licensing examination(s) on the first examination(s) attempt paid by the Company. Any additional examination(s) attempts will be employee’s responsibility. Other: Car in good condition and available to travel to different locations in Puerto Rico.
