N-SIDE Careers Solution Analyst
- Energy We are looking for a Solution Analyst
- Energy to join our Energy department based in Louvain-la-Neuve. Who We Are N-SIDE is a world leader in increasing the efficiency of life sciences and energy industries by providing software and services that optimize the use of natural resources, facilitating the transition to a more sustainable world. To achieve this, N-SIDE leverages its deep industry knowledge, technical expertise, and understanding of applied mathematics to help global pharmaceutical and energy companies anticipate, adapt, and optimize their decisions. In the energy industry, N-SIDE helps electricity market and grid operators in enabling a safer and faster transition toward renewable sources leveraging advanced analytics and AI. We are continuously looking at how we can support system operators (TSOs, DSOs, Transcos, and Integrated Utilities) with advanced grid optimization tools. System operators face a tremendous challenge. They are under heavy pressure to upgrade and expand their networks fast
- but face shrinking time windows available to execute this work. Our standardized solutions enables operators to maximize work throughput while maintaining uncompromised grid safety, efficiency, and reliability. To make this vision a reality, we are forming a new product & strategy squad within N-SIDE Energy. As a Solution Analyst, you will sit on the front lines of product discovery. You will actively engage with system operators, organize collaborative design workshops, extract deep operational pain points, and figure out what must be built. What You’ll Do
• Drive Customer Discovery: Connect directly with dispatchers, grid planners, and operators at TSOs/DSOs to map out their current outage management workflows, bottlenecks, and software expectations
• Lead Facilitation & Design Workshops: Plan and execute interactive workshops with potential clients to pressure-test concepts, gather feedback, and separate "must-have" core capabilities from "nice-to-have" bloat
• Pitch & Articulate Value Proposition: Effectively pitch product concepts to diverse utility stakeholders—from field operators to executive decision-makers—clearly articulating a compelling value proposition and translating complex technical capabilities into tangible business impact
• Bridge Business & Engineering: Translate messy, highly technical domain requirements into actionable functional specs for our dedicated Software Engineers and Optimization Engineers (who do the production coding)
• Pattern Recognition & Replicability: Identify common operational needs across different utilities so we build a repeatable, scalable product architecture rather than one-off custom development projects.
• Support Commercial & Value Validation: Gather field intelligence and data to help test our underlying business assumptions, estimate ROI models for prospective clients, and validate the long-term commercial viability of our solution
• Rapid Prototyping: Build quick, light proofs-of-concept, mockups, or basic scripts to quickly test ideas in front of customers before handing full execution off to engineering. About You
• Strong STEM Foundation: You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, IT, Physics, or a related quantitative field. You think logically and grasp complex systems easily
• Commercial & "Solution-First" Affinity: You see technical problems through the lens of client value and broad market applicability. You know how to guide client conversations away from bespoke feature requests toward core, high-impact solution capabilities
• 3+ Years of Relevant
Experience:
Background in technical consulting, business/solution analysis, systems engineering, or early-stage software discovery. Experience or familiarity with the energy/utilities sector is a plus, but a passion for scalable software solutions is essential
• High Resilience & "Can-Do" Mentality: You thrive in fast-paced 0-to-1 task force environments. Ambiguity doesn't scare you, and you handle adversity, feedback, or changing directions with grit and optimism
• Strong Facilitator & Communicator: Able to run a room full of domain experts, distill complex operational tasks into clear diagrams/specs, and advocate fiercely for a standardized solution Travel: 20 % (Client workshops & site visits) Start date: ASAP Our offer What’s important for us is that you grow and learn, because we care about you, which is N-SIDE’s hallmark.
You will be part of a fun and flexible work environment in which creativity, freedom and initiative are rewarded. You will join a diverse team of over 200 passionate engineers, computer scientists, and business experts from 30+ different nationalities, with 25% holding PhDs. Together, we are committed to making a meaningful impact toward a more sustainable future. N-SIDE offers a great compensation package, which includes a company car and full range of benefits which can be personalised thanks to our Flex Income Plan.
