VIE - Operational Risk - Control Execution & Monitoring

You’ll work closely with experienced risk professionals to execute and monitor key controls, support compliance efforts, and help ensure the robustness of our risk processes. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual who’s ready to learn, contribute, and grow in a fast-paced financial institution. Your position As an Operational Risk VIE within the Control Execution & Monitoring team at Degroof Petercam, you will play an active role in strenghthening and enhancing our internal control framework. Reporting to the Operational Risk Manager, you will work closely with risk officers, control owners and various business functions to deploy, monitor and continuously improve operational risk controls across the organization. Your Main Responsibilities Will Include
• Coordinating the deployment of operational risk controls across business lines and support functions.
• Ensuring controls are appropriately documented, executed and monitored in line with internal standards and regulatory expectations.
• Challenging control results, identifying weaknesses and recommending improvements to strengthen the control framework.
• Supporting the design, implementation and enhancement of new controls to address emerging risks and evolving business needs.
• Centralizing and maintaining the inventory of operational risk controls within the Group's governance tool, ensuring consistency, completeness and proper documentation.
• Collecting, reviewing and analyzing control execution results, and preparing management reporting and key insights.
• Promoting a culture of risk awareness and continuous improvement across the organization. Your profile
• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Management Engineering, or Risk Management.
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently.
• Ability to coordinate and support the deployment of controls across different business and support functions.
• Ability to drive change and promote the adoption of new control processes and methodologies.
• Comfortable interacting with multiple stakeholders and challenging existing practices in a constructive manner.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Fluent in French or Dutch, and able to work in English and either French or Dutch.
• Collaborative team player, able to work effectively across departments and functions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt messages to different stakeholders.
