Brussels Brussels Region, BRU, Belgique Alpine Business Consulting Télétravail Temps plein
A major Belgian administrative firm is expanding its internal systems, and we are adding a Junior AI Implementation Specialist to help bridge the gap between their financial data and modern automation tools. This position is a permanent, full-time role that operates entirely remotely, focusing on the practical application of technology within structured finance environments. You will assist in ensuring that automated processes serve the needs of the finance team rather than adding unnecessary complexity. About Alpine Business Consulting Alpine Business Consulting works at the intersection of finance processes and the systems that support them. We specialize in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and analytics, helping finance teams fix platforms that never delivered on their promises. While we build new systems from scratch, much of our work involves remediating existing setups in Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, and Power BI. We focus on the numbers side of the house, ensuring that consolidation rules, intercompany eliminations, and reporting pipelines reflect how a finance team actually operates. Our approach moves away from typical implementation theatre. We prioritize finance-first configurations and fixed-price engagements, giving our clients certainty before any work begins. We do not believe in keeping clients dependent on us. Instead, we build administrator training and documentation into every project so teams can run their systems independently after go-live. We are a remote-first team of consultants who understand that a dashboard is only useful if the data is accurate to the cent and available the morning a period closes. Whether it is a cloud migration or a complex forecasting model, we value precision over presentation. What You Will Do
- Assist in configuring automated tools to categorize and map complex financial transaction data for the Belgian administrative firm.
- Help build and test reporting workflows within Power BI to ensure data accurately reflects financial reality.
- Support the remediation of existing EPM systems by checking that data flows correctly between different ledger modules.
- Write clear, step-by-step technical documentation and administrator guides for client teams.
- Verify the accuracy of automated outputs by comparing them against manual ledger entries and reconciliation reports.
- Collaborate with senior consultants to identify specific areas where automation can reduce manual data entry errors.
- Maintain detailed project logs and track the status of configuration tasks during the implementation phase.
- Participate in internal reviews to ensure that all system configurations meet our standards for financial precision. What We Are Looking For
- A basic understanding of finance or accounting principles, such as how balance sheets and profit and loss statements are structured.
- Technical curiosity and a genuine interest in learning how EPM software and automation tools function.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to organize large datasets and use logical functions.
- The ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining clear, consistent communication with the team.
- High attention to detail, specifically the ability to spot small inconsistencies in numerical data or logic.
- Clear writing skills for creating documentation that is easy for non-technical users to follow.
- Recent coursework or a degree in finance, business, data science, or a related field that involves data analysis.
- A professional approach to problem-solving that prioritizes accuracy and functionality over visual flair.

What We Offer

- A fully remote work environment that respects your time and encourages focused, productive work habits.
- Direct exposure to complex financial systems and the opportunity to learn from senior consultants in a hands-on way.
- A professional setting where the quality of your work is valued more than office politics or presentation style.
- Permanent employment with a stable workload across long-term engagements for major organizations.
- Attractive pay that is competitive for the role and the current market.
- Practical training on industry-standard platforms including Oracle, SAP, and various data automation tools.
- A structured work environment where projects have clear scopes and defined goals. How We Work Our philosophy is built on transparency and technical honesty. We avoid the fluff often associated with consulting and focus instead on delivering systems that work on the day the books need to be closed. By using fixed-price engagements, we ensure that our interests are aligned with the client: we both want a system that is functional, accurate, and easy to maintain. We do not use proprietary black boxes or hidden logic. Everything we build is documented and handed over to the client so they can manage their own future. As a remote team, we rely on clear documentation and precise execution to maintain this standard across every project we handle.
