About The Role
The Director, Talent Development is responsible for helping employees build the capabilities, judgment, and operating effectiveness required to perform at a higher level, create greater value for the firm, and prepare for increasing responsibility over time. Responsibilities This is a hands-on individual contributor role that works through managers to build a culture of continuous development and high performance.
Key responsibilities
include:
- Partner with managers to translate feedback into practical Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
- Strengthen manager capability and coaching effectiveness
- Equip employees with skills, experiences, and resources needed to improve execution in current roles
- Provide candid, constructive coaching and remove barriers to development
- Recommend practical development experiences that improve performance
- Design and deliver enterprise learning programs emphasizing manager effectiveness and leadership development
- Build AI-enabled ways of working across the organization
- Create practical learning solutions with immediate application Success Metrics: Building stronger managers, more capable employees, and a learning culture that raises the performance bar across Alumni Ventures. Philosophy: Development happens primarily through meaningful work, direct feedback, coaching, and continuous learning—not training alone. This role enables leaders and employees to take ownership of their development rather than serving as a substitute manager or employee-relations channel.
