- Translate reporting and analytical needs into well-structured, accessible datasets in collaboration with analysts and business teams.
- Develop, maintain, and tune data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse .
- Build scalable SQL transformations and improve existing processing logic.
- Design and refine storage solutions within Azure Data Lake and Synapse Analytics .
- Monitor data flows and resolve issues affecting data quality, reliability, or performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve data models, pipeline efficiency, and platform performance, and take ownership of implementing them.
- Contribute to technical discussions with the Data Lead and Data Architect.
- Apply data governance, security, and compliance requirements throughout your work.
- Evaluate technologies such as Microsoft Fabric and Databricks , focusing on their practical value for the platform. Requirements
- Around 3 years of experience in data engineering , ideally within an Azure environment.
- Strong SQL expertise and practical experience with data transformation processes and modern data platforms.
- A good understanding of data modelling, schema design, and scalable pipeline development.
- Experience processing large datasets with attention to efficiency and performance.
- The ability to explain technical ideas clearly and collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Curiosity about emerging technologies and sound judgement about when to apply them.
- Fluency in English ; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage. Extra
