Freelance Technical Project Engineer – OT

Brainbridge is currently looking for an experienced Technical Project Engineer – OT & Infrastructure Integration to support a large-scale infrastructure program within a critical operational environment In this role, you will act as the technical integration lead, ensuring seamless collaboration between industrial automation systems, SCADA platforms, electrical installations, ICT infrastructure, and cybersecurity solutions. You will be responsible for coordinating technical interfaces, challenging suppliers, and guaranteeing successful system integration from design through commissioning. - Lead the technical integration of OT, SCADA, electrical, ICT, and cybersecurity systems.
- Coordinate and align internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and system integrators.
- Review and challenge technical designs, architectures, and implementation strategies.
- Ensure all interfaces between systems function effectively and meet project requirements.
- Support and oversee FAT, SAT, testing, commissioning, and acceptance activities.
- Manage technical risks, issues, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
- Validate delivered solutions and facilitate handover to operations and maintenance teams.
- Monitor compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and cybersecurity requirements. Required Skills & Experience *Industrial Automation

- Strong understanding of Siemens S7 and TIA Portal environments.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Profinet and Modbus.
- Experience with technical infrastructure systems including ventilation, pumping, and fire detection systems. *SCADA & System Integration

- Experience with SCADA and industrial control environments.
- Knowledge of system integration methodologies and industrial communication protocols.
- Familiarity with technologies such as MQTT, OPC UA, or equivalent. *ICT & Cybersecurity

- Understanding of networking, virtualization, and server environments.
- Experience bridging OT and IT environments.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles in industrial environments.
- Familiarity with IEC 62443 is considered a strong asset. *Electrical Infrastructure

- Knowledge of low-voltage electrical installations.
- Experience with UPS systems and power distribution.
- Understanding of electrical safety regulations and standards. *Project Validation & Delivery

- Requirements management experience.
- Knowledge of V-Model project delivery methodologies.
- Hands-on involvement in FAT, SAT, commissioning, and operational handover activities. Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electromechanics, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in complex technical integration or infrastructure projects.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to challenge contractors and suppliers on technical decisions.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and capable of working independently.
