- ALTEN Belgium The Position As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Methods Engineer to join our teams and work on client projects located in Liège . You will contribute to the development and optimization of high-precision manufacturing processes. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging machining projects, support production activities, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. As a Methods Engineer , your main responsibilities will include:
- Write and optimize CNC programs for turning and milling operations
- Industrialize new mechanical components and define manufacturing processes
- Select tooling and establish machining parameters
- Analyze and resolve machining issues such as vibrations, dimensional deviations, and tool wear
- Create and maintain CAM documentation and machining process sheets
- Support production teams with technical expertise
- Contribute to automation and continuous improvement projects
Your profile
- You hold a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field
- You have minimum 3 years of experience (including apprenticeships, work-study programs and internships)
- You have experience in CNC programming for turning and/or milling operations
- Hands-on experience launching and validating programs on production machines
- You have experience in an industrialization or manufacturing environment
- You have a good knowledge of ISO G-code programming
- You have experience with CAM software such as CATIA V5 or Siemens NX
- Good understanding of machining processes for titanium, nickel alloys and stainless steel
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T specifications
