Company and Context Our client is a well-established international industrial group with a strong footprint in the European automotive supplier market. The company operates several manufacturing and engineering-driven business activities across Europe and serves leading OEMs and industrial customers with technically sophisticated components and systems. Following a recent ownership transition supported by a German investment group, the organization is entering a new phase. To support this next stage, we are seeking a hands-on and business-oriented Finance Director to take responsibility for the Belgian entity and provide financial oversight for a smaller affiliated company in North America. The role is particularly suitable for a strong finance professional with a solid controlling background who is ready to take the next step into a broader finance leadership position with significant exposure to management, shareholders, operations, and international stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Full responsibility for Finance, Controlling, Accounting, Reporting, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Cash Management for the Belgian entity
- Financial oversight and coordination of a smaller affiliated company in the United States
- Acting as a key business partner to local management, the European leadership team, and the shareholder side
- Driving financial transparency, cost control, performance management, and operational KPI steering across the business
- Further development of reporting structures, controlling processes, planning tools, and management information
- Preparation of budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, business cases, and decision papers for management
- Close cooperation with operations, sales, procurement, HR, and corporate functions to support commercial and operational decision-making
- Support of transformation initiatives, process improvements, and value creation measures following the ownership transition
- Ensuring compliance with accounting, tax, audit, internal control, and governance requirements
- Involvement in strategic projects, including potential M&A-related topics, integrations, carve-outs, or financing-related workstreams Profile
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in controlling, finance management, or senior accounting roles within an international industrial or automotive environment
- Strong controlling background with a sound understanding of manufacturing, cost structures, operational KPIs, and financial performance drivers
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, cash management, and business partnering
- Exposure to transformation, restructuring, private equity, carve-out, or M&A-related environments is beneficial
- Strong analytical skills, hands-on mentality, commercial understanding, and ability to translate numbers into actionable business insights
- Confident communication style with the ability to interact with local management, international stakeholders, and shareholder representatives
- Fluent English and French required
