with contemporary architecture, in keeping with the environment in which they are located.

We are looking to recruit a Development Manager to help us continue our rapid growth, to develop our new 

projects with the support of our teams. 

As Development Manager, you will be responsible for the management and development of current and new projects. 

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES 

§ You will determine the project strategies (including the programming thereof) in the short, medium and long term, taking 

into account the market conditions, planning constraints, scheduling, feasibility and risks that you have identified. 

§ You will handle the coordination of participants (architect, engineering consultant, etc.) within the context of preparing 

administrative authorisation applications. 

§ You will maintain contact between all stakeholders in your projects: policy-makers and local authorities (informal 

meetings, project meetings, consultation committees, transport surveys, impact studies, etc.), residents and any other 

useful contacts.   

§ You will coordinate with the team’s Project Manager in the drafting of specifications and working drawings and play an 

active role in the submissions and negotiations of works contracts. 

§ You will handle the monitoring of the marketing of your projects, and you will play an active role in the negotiations for the 

marketing, lease and/or sale of non-residential units. 

§ You will monitor the profitability and cash flow of your projects in the internal budgeting, feasibility and planning tools. 

§ Depending on the needs, you will actively participate in searching and sourcing of projects to be (re)developed, 

developing creative and realistic business plans, monitoring of the purchase due diligence processes with the help of 

internal and external teams, preparing and presenting these projects for the Investment Committee and tracking these 

projects through to purchase. 

§ You will be the owner of your projects, responsible for profitability, planning and quality. 

§ You will report to the team’s Development Director. 

YOUR SKILLS & QUALITIES 

§ You hold a Master’s degree from a university (or equivalent) and have minimum 5 years’ experience in mixed-use real 

estate development projects in Belgium (ideally in Brussels and one or both of Wallonia and Flanders). A good knowledge 

of technical, financial and commercial issues is required. 

§ You are confident in both the development of a property programme as regards volumetric/town planning and the 

financial feasibility thereof. 

§ You work independently, have a strong business acumen and excellent communication and negotiation skills. 

§ Your strengths include: skilful project management, meticulous eye for detail, planning and forward thinking. You are able 

to work on several projects simultaneously. 

§ You have a good network in the real estate sector and you keep yourself abreast of all the latest industry news. 

§ You have a working knowledge of AI tools and a proactive mindset in applying them to improve e iciency and quality, from 

general assistants to real estate-specific technologies. 

§ Proficiency in French is required, proficiency in Dutch is an asset.
