Do you enjoy working with industrial machinery and explaining how it works to others?

Are you a field service engineer, maintenance technician or technical specialist looking for an opportunity to share your knowledge and develop your career in training?

Our client, an international industrial technology company, is looking for a Technical Trainer to deliver practical training to customers, partners and internal technical teams. This is a hands-on role for someone with experience working on electromechanical machinery or equipment. You will help others understand how machines operate, how to use them correctly and how to troubleshoot technical issues.

You do not need to have worked as a professional trainer before. If you have the technical background and enjoy sharing your knowledge, we would be pleased to hear from you.

What you will do

You will deliver a combination of classroom training, machine demonstrations, hands-on exercises and digital learning.

Your responsibilities will include:

Training customers, service technicians, partners and internal teams

Demonstrating how equipment is set up, operated and used

Leading practical exercises directly on machinery

Explaining mechanical, electrical and machine-related concepts

Helping participants understand common technical issues and troubleshooting procedures

Creating and updating training materials, presentations and assessments

Adapting your approach to different levels of technical experience

Working with engineering, service and product teams to keep training content up to date

Assessing participants’ progress and maintaining training records

What we are looking for

You have hands-on experience with electromechanical machinery or equipment, gained through activities such as installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting or technical support.

You may currently work as a Field Service Engineer, Service Technician, Maintenance Technician, Commissioning Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, Applications Engineer or Technical Trainer.

You will also bring:

A good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems

Confidence working directly with machinery and demonstrating it to others

The ability to explain technical information clearly and patiently

Strong communication skills and an interest in developing your training and presentation skills

Fluent English; Dutch or French would be an advantage

Willingness to travel internationally when required

If you already show customers how to use equipment, coach technicians or help colleagues solve technical problems, this could be a natural next step for you.

What is offered

€4,000–€4,300 gross per month

Performance-related bonus

Company car and charging card

32 days of annual leave

Meal vouchers

Pension and hospitalisation insurance

The position is primarily based on-site in Flemish Brabant, with international travel when required.
