Company Introduction :

ASCO, part of Swiss group Montana Aerospace, began operations as a private subcontractor in 1954.

Today ASCO Group is engaged in a broad range of development, engineering, manufacturing and assembly activities providing multidisciplinary subcontracting services to various markets and aerospace programs around the world.

Asco produces over 2,500 assemblies every month and has the ambition to be a world leader in design and manufacture of high lift devices, complex mechanical assemblies and major functional components for the aerospace industry.

Montana Aerospace AG is a highly-vertically integrated manufacturer and supplier of system components and complex assemblies for the aerospace, e-mobility and energy sectors with worldwide engineering and manufacturing operations has acquired 100% of the share of the Asco Group beginning of April 2022.

For our Belgian plant we are looking for a Operations Project Leader (OPL)

From the start-up phase to the implementation in production, the Operations Project Leader (OPL) has to lead, organize and coordinate specific Asco project industrialization team(s) to support new product development or improvement on products already in production in order to achieve global Asco objectives of cost, quality and on time delivery.

Accountabilities :

1. Management of project team

Lead, coordinate and follow-up the project industrialization/operations team for the assigned industrialization projects (new programs, improvement projects) in order to accomplish the defined short- and long-term objectives (cost, quality , on time delivery) of these projects (including identification and traceability of product).

Lead industrialisation team meetingGuide team through the industrialization processesEnhance communication with his role of leader as being the focal point of contact on the project

2. Parts to production

Lead industrialization projects to mature production processes and thus transfer these mature processes/products.

Keep a detailed action list to guaranty all deliverables to operation units (OU)Track actions with all departments

3. Quality

The OPL will have to guaranty a process that will support general ASCO target in term of qualityEnsure traceability of parts in productionFollow-up with industrialization team all deviations that we have on first parts during the test phaseKeep a log with all deviations and corrective actions defined to solve issuesDeliver a stabile process to OU (Cp, Cpk)

4. Budget/cost

Detail and control the Recurring and Non Recurring Cost project budget that was received from the project manager to accomplish the objectives. Distribute the detailed budget to all concerned parties.

From the process definition, follow-up the recurrent cost (RC) to ensure the profitability of the future process.Detail in the project charter the necessary budget to support all the indus activities.From the beginning of the project, track all project expenses and define project plan/actions to minimize NRC cost and ensure project within budget.

5. On time delivery

The OPL is responsible for the project on time delivery. He will follow-up parts during the different production phases

Define a project planning that will support customer requirements in term of on-time deliveryBase on the project plan, track actions in each asco departmentWhen a delay is expected, highlight the risk to the responsible of section and ask for action to maintain the project on planning

Profile Know How and Experience

Education: Master degree in Engineering with 2 years of experience in relevant production environment

Language (written/spoken): English/French/Dutch

Skills and profile:

Asset if experience in project managementManagement and communication skills are importantLanguage (written/spoken): English/French/DutchHighly developed organizational skillscan provide clear reporting, good knowledge of MS OfficeGood team playerResult oriented, takes initiatives – autonomousWillingness to travel is an asset
