Overview

PM Group have a requirement for a Regional Project Director working across a portfolio of high profile Mission Critical Data Center centre clients in Belgium.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with significant experience in the execution of large-scale Mission Critical / Data Center construction projects and the management of large multi-disciplinary construction teams. The role is client-facing and requires the ability to inspire confidence throughout all phases of construction execution.

Responsibilities

Safe execution of all phases of the projectOverall responsibility for technical/commercial delivery and execution of a taskDevelop the Quality Plan (separate plan or include in Project Execution Plan [PEP] depending on scale and phase of project)Set up and maintain the Project Compliance Tracker (PCT) for early notification of any significant project issues with potential compliance risk for PM Group Review and understand commercial aspects of the projectDefining the scope of the projectDefining PM Group’s scope of work and how the project will be delivered within the available PM Group budgetOrganise the File Index, Facilities, Kick-off Meetings, PEPDevelop a project execution strategy and agree same with the PM Project Team and the CustomerMonitor the effectiveness of the strategy and modify as necessary to accommodate changing circumstances throughout the life of the projectDevelop construction/contracting strategy and implementImplement construction/procurement/contracting strategy using PM Group Standard toolsIdentify resource needs, timing and organize with resource ownersCoordinate the design between all disciplines including sub-contractors and site teamPrepare Project Monthly Internal Report (PMIR) for PM Group Management and ensure early notification of any significant project issues with potential commercial risk for PM GroupEnsure compliance with local statutory and regulatory obligationsIdentify and assess risk to project and to PM Group
Qualifications

At least 10 years' experience in the construction delivery of large-scale Mission Critical and/or Data Center projects and management of multi-disciplinary construction teamsPrimary Honours/Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Construction/Science or relation DisciplineProfessional Qualification in Project Management Registered in a recongised project management professional bodyA minimum of 15 years relevant experienceGood understanding of all engineering disciplines Excellent organizational skills with an ability to produce quality work and achieve project deadlines within budgetExcellent commercial skills with the ability to manage projects to budget hours and commercial return targetSelf-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and businessA forward planner who identifies and resolves project issueProven experience in multiple project deliveryCapability to work in a project sponsor role
