Job description

Building a Google Cloud Foundation MVP, with the activation of Google Gemini alongside the existing AI platforms Microsoft Foundry and AWS Bedrock as the first use case.
Over time, evolving the platform into an enterprise-ready solution enabling efficient onboarding of future DevOps teams in compliance with the institution's standards, policies and governance requirements.

Missions

• Architecture & Platform Design

  • Design an enterprise-wide Google Cloud architecture aligned with the institution's guidelines, standards and policies

  • Define a sustainable cloud foundation, with the adoption of Google Gemini across the organization as the first use case

  • Create architecture principles and design patterns to support the onboarding of future DevOps teams

  • Provide recommendations on governance, security and operating models

• Security & Governance

  • Develop a threat model

  • Define governance standards covering encryption, standards and policies, access management and compliance requirements

  • Design security controls and integrate them into existing security processes

• Identity & Access Management

  • Design and implement IAM architectures

  • Implement an RBAC model, federated identity and least-privilege principles

• Operations & Monitoring

  • Implement logging, monitoring and observability capabilities

  • Integrate the solution with existing SIEM platforms

  • Define operational processes for incident management and platform operations

• Cloud Management & FinOps

  • Define an engagement model with Google similar to the operating model currently used with AWS and Azure

  • Set up cost tracking, showback/chargeback and cost management processes

  • Advise on cloud governance and lifecycle management

• Networking

  • Design and implement Google Cloud network architectures

• Implementation

  • Automate platform components via Infrastructure as Code

  • Implement foundational services and security controls

  • Support the migration of existing workloads to the new platform

Requirements

1. Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform in enterprise environments

2. Experience designing and implementing cloud foundations or landing zones

3. Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking and governance

4. Understanding of FinOps practices

5. Experience in regulated environments or financial institutions

6. Proficiency with: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Terraform, Python, Google Gemini, Microsoft Foundry, AWS Bedrock, Infrastructure as Code, IAM, SIEM, RBAC, Federated Identity

7. Strong enterprise architecture background

8. Ability to define and defend enterprise-grade cloud designs

9. Ability to guide implementation teams

10. Combination of cloud, security, governance and operational excellence expertise

11. Fluency in english is mandatory and dutch is a really strong plus
