JOB DESCRIPTION:

ASSIGNMENT: TEST COORDINATOR – TEST ANALYST (COMBI-ROLE)

CONTEXT

• CLIENT is a dynamic organisation with more than 150 people working in the IT department. CLIENT is a bilingual environment, where there are both French-speaking and Dutch stakeholders. Within IT, we work agile (scrum methodology).
• The Test Coordinator is part of a scrum development team that is multidisciplinary. Team Phoenix is one of the 10 development teams. The team consists of 12 people (scrum master, business analysts, Developers, PO, DevOps, Test Analyst and Test Coordinator. Half of the team is Dutch-speaking and half French-speaking. The position of Test Coordinator is open.
• Mission and role
• This assignment and role is a combination of Test Coordinator (30%) and Test Analyst (70%).
• As a Test Coordinator, you will be responsible for organizing and following up on testing activities to deliver high-quality software that meets the requirements and expectations of the business.
• You work within an agile development team and coordinate the test plans with testers, developers, analysts and the business.
• The test coordinator uses his/her understanding of the technical environment and functional needs to define an effective test approach for the various developments. The test coordinator sets acceptance criteria, develops test cases and maintains the regression test scenarios.
• The test coordinator regularly coordinates with stakeholders outside the agile team regarding end-to-end testing activities and acceptance testing by the business.
• He/she takes the initiative to automate repetitive tests.
• It also reports transparently on the progress of the test activities and the quality of the developments.
• The test coordinator gives daily guidance to 1 or 2 other testers within the team.

AS A TEST ANALYST, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SETTING UP AND EXECUTING TESTS WITH THE AIM OF DELIVERING QUALITY SOFTWARE. MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops a good understanding of the technical environment and functional requirements.
• Based on the analyses, he draws up the test strategy for the various applications developed.
• Develops the test scenarios and test cases for internal ICT tests and end-to-end tests with users.
• Prepares the data and performs the functional and non-functional tests.
• Coordinates and supports the acceptance tests and guides the users in this process.
• Creates regression tests to detect software problems efficiently and quickly.
• Has a good understanding of software test automation and automates tests themselves, or collaborates with other team members to set this up.
• Documents automated test procedures (principles, tools, and methodology).
• Efficiently analyzes, documents and reports the test results to the business analysts and developers.
• Follow up on the corrections with the parties involved.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

• Experience as a test analyst
• Experience as a test coordinator

TECHNICAL:

• Good knowledge of software testing methodologies and standards such as ISTQB or TMap.
• Mastery of complex queries in SQL, XML, and JSON
• Experience with API testing (Soap and REST API) and non-functional testing (e.g. performance testing).
• Knowledge of SoapUI/Ready API/Postman or other tools.
• Experience working in Azure DevOps environment
• Experience working in an agile/scrum environment
• ISTQB certification is a plus.
• Experience with Playwright or similar tool is a plus.
