It's more than a jobIn the Customs department at Kuehne+Nagel, your job is to optimise logistics to keep our global supply chains running smoothly. But the impact of your work goes beyond that. It's import and export work, but it's also so much more than we imagine.As our National Customs Operations Manager based at any of our locations in Belgium you will play a key strategic role in shaping and harmonizing customs operations within the country. You will drive operational excellence, lead automation and improvement initiatives, and act as a bridge between customers, internal stakeholders, and technology teams. If you are passionate about building scalable customs processes and enabling efficient cross-border trade, this role offers the opportunity to make a national-level impact.
How you create impactOversee and harmonize national customs operations, ensuring efficiency and full complianceImplement regional operational blueprints nationally and drive continuous process improvementsIdentify automation and outsourcing opportunitiesSupport the onboarding of new customs business, contribute to RFQs, and enable system and process integrationsEngage directly with customers in operational meetings to present capabilities and develop tailored solutionsLead cross-functional collaboration and manage projects related to new operational solutions and digital toolsWhat we would like you to bringDegree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management or a related field; Certified Customs BrokerDeep expertise in customs operations, a strong knowledge of international and domestic customs regulations plus leadership experienceSolid project management experience paired with proven background in process optimization, automation, and compliance managementProficiency with Cargowise or similar customs management platformsStrong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skillsValid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequentlyWhat's in it for youKuehne+Nagel offers a wide range of attractive employee benefits designed to support your well‑being, development, and long-term career growth.
