As a Legal Counsel, you will be a part of the Belgian Legal team and act as a trusted legal advisor to the business and be involved in a wide variety of legal matters, including: Advising on financial services regulations and other regulatory matters impacting CapitalatWork’s business; Drafting, reviewing and negotiating various commercial agreements and templates; Supporting corporate governance and corporate law matters; Providing legal support to different internal departments (Compliance, HR, Project Management, …) and the management; Coordinating with external consultants where appropriate; Assisting with strategic projects, including occasional M&A transactions; Collaborating with the Legal team in Luxembourg on cross-border matters. This is a genuinely broad in-house legal position where no two days are the same. You will have the opportunity to advise on a wide range of legal issues while playing an active role in shaping the organisation's future. Your skillset

You have: A Master's degree in Law; At least 8 years of relevant professional experience, ideally with some of this experience gained in the financial services industry or another highly regulated environment; The ability to work independently and provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal advice; A genuine interest in a broad variety of legal topics rather than specialising in one narrow area; Excellent communication skills in Dutch, French and English. On top of that, you are someone who: Enjoys working closely with colleagues from various business units; Is naturally curious and enjoys tackling new legal challenges; Takes ownership and works proactively; Combines analytical thinking with a pragmatic mindset; Communicates openly and collaborates easily across different departments.
