We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to take full ownership of the accounting for one terminal. This role combines operational responsibility with deep subject-matter expertise, offering you room to improve processes and take true ownership.
Your responsibilities will include:
Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) & Accounts Payable
- Managing and optimizing the P2P process
- Processing purchase invoices (3-way matching)
- Preparing payment runs and processing bank statements
General Ledger & Reporting
- Booking journal entries (e.g., payroll, accruals, intercompany)
- Preparing the capitalization of investment projects
- Supporting month-end and year-end closures
- Preparing for audits and quarterly balance sheet reviews
Order-to-Cash (O2C) & Accounts Receivable
- Preparing and issuing monthly sales invoices
Compliance & Master Data
- Preparing VAT, intracommunity (ICP) returns, and statistical reporting (CBS)
- Setting up projects and budgets in Microsoft Dynamics 365
Qualifications
- Degree in a financial field
- At least 3 years of experience in an accounting role
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Basware, or OnStream is a plus
