h3Overview /h3pJohn Sisk Son have been building excellence as a family-owned international construction company by offering trust, certainty and value to our clients whilst being at the heart of change. /ppReporting to the Project Director and working in close partnership with the MEP Lead and Engineering Management team, the Electrical Lead is responsible for the overall delivery of electrical systems on life sciences and technology projects. /ppThe role provides technical and managerial leadership, ensuring that all electrical works are designed, installed, tested and commissioned to the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance. The Electrical Lead ensures project objectives for programme, budget and regulatory requirements are met, while driving collaboration between engineering, construction, commissioning and client teams. /ph3Responsibilities /h3h3Leadership and Delivery /h3ulliLead the electrical team and oversee delivery of all electrical systems including LV/MV distribution, UPS, generators, lighting, fire alarms and life safety systems /liliEnsure all electrical works meet programme, cost and quality objectives /liliProvide technical guidance to engineers, supervisors and subcontractors to ensure effective delivery /liliDevelop and implement strategies for electrical execution, resource allocation and planning /li /ulh3Technical and Compliance Oversight /h3ulliReview and approve electrical design documents, technical submittals and material selections /liliEnsure compliance with project specifications, industry standards and regulations (e.g. IEC, BS, IEEE, NFPA) /liliOversee FATs, SATs, commissioning and integrated system testing (IST) for electrical scope /liliSupport validation and handover processes with accurate documentation and system certification /li /ulh3Quality, Safety and Risk Management /h3ulliDrive health, safety and environmental compliance across all electrical works /liliImplement and monitor quality assurance and quality control procedures for electrical systems /liliIdentify risks, propose mitigation strategies and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner /li /ulh3Stakeholder and Team Coordination /h3ulliAct as the primary point of contact for electrical scope with clients, consultants and regulatory bodies /liliCoordinate electrical works with mechanical, process, instrumentation and BMS teams to ensure project integration /liliLead electrical coordination meetings and provide accurate reporting on progress, risks and opportunities to project leadership /li /ulh3Experience /h3h3Essentia l /h3ullipStrong technical expertise in electrical systems including LV/MV distribution, critical power systems and life safety systems /p /li /ulullipProven leadership experience on large-scale construction or engineering projects /p /li /ulullipExcellent organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex workloads /p /li /ulullipStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels of delivery /p /li /ulullipKnowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements for electrical works /p /li /ulh3Desirable /h3ullipExperience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, data centre or advanced technology projects /p /li /ulullipKnowledge of commissioning and integrated system testing (IST) in regulated environments /p /li /ulullipFamiliarity with BIM and digital project delivery tools /p /li /ulullipCommercial awareness including contract administration and cost control /p /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3h3Essential /h3ullipDegree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent technical qualification /p /li /ulullipDemonstrated experience in leading electrical delivery on Tier 1 construction or engineering projects /p /li /ulullipRelevant health and safety training (e.g. Safe Pass, CSCS or equivalent) /p /li /ulh3Desirable /h3ullipChartered Engineer status or working towards professional membership (e.g. Engineers Ireland, IET, CIBSE) /p /li /ulullipPostgraduate qualification in project management or construction management /p /li /ulullipVendor-specific training or certification in switchgear, UPS, or critical power systems /p /li /ulullipTraining in GMP, cleanroom or other regulatory compliance relevant to life sciences and technology sectors /p /li /ulh3Additional Information /h3ulliompetitive salary /lili26 days annual leave plus additional company days /liliPension and benefits /liliUnlimited learning and development opportunities /liliMuch more /li /ulh3Our People and Recruitment Commitment /h3pAt Sisk Group our people are at the heart of our success.
