We are currently looking for a Virtualization & Storage System Engineer to strengthen our infrastructure team and ensure the performance, availability, and resilience of our IT systems.
Your missionAs a Virtualization & Storage System Engineer, you are responsible for the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of the virtualization and backup infrastructure across multiple data centers.

Your responsibilitiesð§ Infrastructure & OperationsProvide Level 2 and Level 3 support for virtualization and backup platformsDesign, manage, and maintain VMware vSphere and Nutanix AHV environmentsImplement and maintain high availability and clustering solutionsMonitor and optimize performance, capacity, and storage usageManage and operate data center infrastructure and hosted environmentsð¾ Backup & Data ProtectionDesign and operate enterprise backup and restore solutions for virtual environmentsDefine and enforce backup SLAs, RPO, and RTO objectivesManage backup policies, retention strategies, restore procedures, and reportingOversee archiving and long-term data retention strategiesCollaborate on Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) and recovery scenariosParticipate in DR testing and continuous improvement of recovery processes️ Automation & OptimizationAutomate provisioning of virtual infrastructure and operational tasksDevelop scripts for backup, restore, monitoring, and maintenance activitiesImprove operational efficiency through standardization and automationð Continuity & ImprovementProactively manage incidents and communicate clearly in case of SLA risks or breachesContribute to infrastructure continuity and security initiativesParticipate in DR exercises and ensure recovery readinessð Collaboration & Knowledge SharingDocument operational procedures for support teamsCollaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teamsShare knowledge and contribute to technical discussions and team meetingsEnsure smooth handover of operational tasks and informationProfileYour profileMinimum 7 years of experience as a Virtualization System Engineer, including at least 2 years in a senior role with technical responsibilityStrong expertise in VMware vSphere and/or Nutanix AHVSolid experience with backup and data protection solutions, including SLA, RPO, RTO, and archivingGood knowledge of SAN and storage technologiesSolid understanding of Windows Server in virtualized environmentsKnowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, etc.)Experience with enterprise monitoring and reporting toolsStrong analytical mindset and interest in new technologiesAbility to prioritize effectively based on urgency and business impactCustomer-oriented and solution-driven approachLanguagesDutch or French: passive understanding of at least one national language requiredEnglish: professional proficiencyOfferYou will work on critical infrastructure in a highly secure and complex environment, where stability, performance, and continuity are essential.
