Sales, Management & Support, Software Development, Agile Transformation & Delivery
For our development team of Horizon, our customer succes portal (that acts as the single pane of glass into Cegeka’s services, offering support & insights) and our employee experience portal (enabling cegeka employees to digitally register timesheets, absences and expenses), we are looking for a talented and passionate Team LeadIn this role, you'll operate at the crossroads of people leadership, process excellence, and product and technical understanding, helping your team deliver digital experiences for both customers and employees.
You will lead and coach our Horizon development team, a team of +/- 10 talented colleagues across an international, distributed environment (Belgium, Romania, Moldova and Greece).
You will combine hands‑on leadership with a solid grasp of Agile practices, helping to deliver high‑quality work while growing both individually and collectively.
You will foster a culture of ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement across different locations and time zones.
You will facilitate Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives) and you will ensure Agile principles are applied effectively, not just followed by the book.
You own and maintain the team's workflow in Jira — backlog structure, sprint boards, reporting and process hygiene.
You will act as a bridge between the development team, product owners and stakeholders, translating priorities into actionable, well‑defined work.
You will identify and remove blockers, both technical and organizational, that potentially slow the team down.
You will support in the sprint and release planning, balancing scope, quality and delivery timelines.
You will contribute to technical or product discussions, depending on your background — whether that's reviewing architecture decisions or refining product requirements.
You will track the team performance and delivery metrics, using them to drive continuous improvement rather than as a compliance exercise.
What you need to succeed:
You have experience leading, mentoring and coaching an international, distributed team.
You enjoy collaborating with colleagues across different countries, time zones and ways of working.
You bring solid experience working in Agile environments and have successfully led, coached, or facilitated teams as a Scrum Master, Team Lead or in a similar leadership role.
You have a background in either software development or product ownership, giving you credibility with the team and confidence in prioritization discussions.
You have a strong working knowledge of Jira and are comfortable configuring boards, managing backlogs and using it to drive team transparency.
You have strong communication skills and are able to translate between technical detail and business priorities.
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, as it is the primary language used across the team. Knowledge of Dutch is considered an asset.
You are willing to travel occasionally to meet team members or stakeholders in other countries.
You have a pragmatic, continuous improvement mindset and see Agile as an enabler of value and collaboration, rather than an end in itself.
Experience specifically with the Horizon platform/product (or similar domain) is a plus.
Relevant certifications (PSM, CSM, PSPO, SAFe, or equivalent) are considered as an asset, as well as familiarity with Confluence or other documentation tooling.
You will work at least two days a week from our office in Hasselt (Corda Campus), complemented by time in another Cegeka office (ideally Leuven) and from home.
What are we offering:
You will be joining a true Top Employer.
A market-conform daily rate and a range of benefits.
Year after year, Whitelane Research confirms Cegeka’s position as a reliable and leading IT services partner. In 2026, we achieved first place in Security Services for the fourth consecutive year, and a shared second place in both Cloud & Infrastructure Services and Network & Connectivity.
We ask a lot of (talents) from you. Fortunately, you also get a lot in return Competence and character are essential to us, in addition to experience and ambitions. Cegeka continuously invests in talent management so that every employee can realize their potential.
Flexible working hours and a nice work/life balance.
A top team: in which new fresh ideas and initiatives are always welcome Team events, happy hours and an increasingly legendary company party are also part of this.
Continuous learning: knowledge sharing meetings, participation in conferences and external training. Knowledge sharing and learning are key
