ph3Function /h3 pThe Senior Legal Counsel safeguards Batopin's interests by providing expert, business-oriented legal advice across all operations, ensuring compliance with Belgian law, and acting as the gatekeeper of legal risk for the company. The role drafts and negotiates complex agreements, manages disputes and litigation, and oversees legal aspects of corporate governance. /p ul liYou provide expert legal advice and support across all areas of Batopin's operations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. /li liYou draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts and agreements with partners, suppliers, and stakeholders. /li liYou manage and analyze legal risks related to corporate governance, regulatory compliance, projects/strategic initiatives and operational activities. /li liYou handle dispute resolution and litigation matters, coordinating with external counsel when necessary. /li liYou handle the legal aspect of annual accounts, Board of Directors Shareholders topics. /li liYou proactively monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting Batopin and advise management on implications. You create a legal watch actionable by your colleagues. /li liYou act as a legal risk gatekeeper for Batopin, engaging directly with C-level executives to challenge, shape, and clear strategic decisions from a legal and regulatory standpoint. /li liYou collaborate closely with internal departments (Finance, Operations, Compliance) to ensure legal alignment in projects and initiatives. /li liYou maintain accurate and timely documentation of all legal files in the central system and ensure proper reporting to management. /li /ul h3Profile /h3 ul liMaster's degree in Law; specialization in corporate/commercial/financial or competition law is a plus. /li liMinimum 7 to 10 years of relevant experience (law firm and/or in-house), ideally within financial services, payments, regulated industries, or multi-site operations/real estate. /li liExcellent knowledge of Belgian law and good command of EU regulations; litigation/dispute experience is an asset. /li liFluent in Dutch and English with strong French (spoken). /li liStrong analytical skills; able to translate complex legal topics into clear, actionable guidance for C-level. /li liHigh integrity, sound judgement, and resilience; comfortable prioritizing and delivering under time pressure. /li liOutstanding communication and negotiation skills; collaborative mindset with the ability to influence cross-functionally. /li liComfortable working autonomously while fostering teamwork in a fast-moving environment. /li liAble to deal with several Law firms at the same time and drive them to achieve results. /li liAble to represent Batopin with all legal aspects. /li /ul h3Offer /h3 ul liA high-impact role at the heart of Batopin's mission with direct exposure to the C-suite and board-level topics. /li liA dynamic environment with meaningful responsibility, autonomy, and room for growth. /li liCompetitive compensation and benefits aligned with experience and market. /li /ul /p
