pWe are looking for a Senior IT Operations Engineer for an international organization in Brussels, Belgium, with strong expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, network architecture and DevOps technologies. /p pYou will support and optimize scalable IT infrastructure, integrating distributed systems, hybrid cloud environments, containerized applications and infrastructure automation to ensure reliable, secure and efficient operations. /p pCandidates need to be based in Europe within 2 hours of Brussels. Consultants will need to go 5 days per month on-site. European candidates are welcome to apply, but need to relocate to Brussels or within 2 hours of Brussels. A work permit is required but not provided. /p h3Tasks and Responsibilities /h3 ul liManage and optimize IT infrastructure and containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes; /li liSupport network architecture and distributed systems integration across hybrid cloud environments; /li liManage infrastructure monitoring, performance and real-time alerting using Prometheus and Grafana; /li liImplement and maintain load balancing, caching and messaging solutions using technologies such as Redis, Kafka and RabbitMQ; /li liSupport relational and NoSQL database environments; /li liAutomate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation and Ansible; /li liMaintain CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins and GitLab CI; /li liApply security best practices, vulnerability scanning, encryption and identity management to infrastructure and applications. /li /ul h3Profile /h3 ul liBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering or a related field; /li li6+ years of professional IT experience; /li liStrong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and application orchestration; /li liExperience with network architecture, distributed systems and hybrid cloud infrastructure; /li liKnowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, load balancing and caching technologies such as Redis; /li liExperience with Prometheus, Grafana, Kafka and RabbitMQ; /li liKnowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, with familiarity with Ansible; /li liExperience with Git, Jenkins and GitLab CI for version control and CI/CD; /li liKnowledge of security and vulnerability scanning tools, such as OWASP-related tools and SonarQube, including encryption, identity management and secure coding practices; /li liFamiliarity with AI-powered coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Amazon Kiro. /li liGood knowledge of the European Commission IT ecosystem would be an advantage. /li liFluent English is required. /li /ul h3Key Technologies Skills /h3 pbIT Operations, Kubernetes, Docker, Cloud Infrastructure, Hybrid Cloud, Network Architecture, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Prometheus, Grafana, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ /b /p
