- a regulated, high-stakes domain where what you ship genuinely matters. The platform runs on AWS, serves customers across multiple countries, and is actively evolving. /p pInitially, you'll bown the entire backend across a newly to be developed platform /b: the APIs, the data layer and the integrations that keep the business running, and the evolution of the architecture as the platform grows. In the long run, you'll bwork alongside a frontend and backend developer /b and collaborate with a DevOps team and external customer teams. /p pbThe technology: /b /p pbBackend /b

experience:
it is your primary tool, you know it deeply, not just casually /li liSolid experience bdesigning and consuming REST APIs /b, and working with relational databases (MySQL or similar) /li libCode quality /b is your priority and you find tests as important as the production code itself. /li liComfortable owning a new codebase, contributing to an existing one and bmaking architectural decisions /b /li liFamiliar with bAWS, CI/CD and containerized environments /b (Docker, Jenkins) /li liYou actively use AI coding assistance (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor…) and it has genuinely changed how you work. You buse AI as a coding helper but you still design the architecture /b and review anything the AI generates. You're well aware of AI hallucinations and know the importance of not only having 'code that works', but a high-quality and performant one. /li libStrong English /b: this is mainly a remote role and async communication is everything. However, we would like to meet our local team on a regular basis at one of our QbD offices in Belgium or in Spain. /li liYou don't panic when you inherit legacy code; you figure it out /li libExperience in regulated industries or with EU MDR / eIFU is a genuine bonus /b, but absolutely not required.
