This role sits at the intersection of customer applications, product development, and advanced metrology, helping customers unlock the full value of AFM technology in semiconductor manufacturing. You’llwork closely with customers, engineering teams, and product specialists to deliver technical evaluations, investigate measurement challenges, and help shape future product improvements. What you'll be doing Delivering customer demonstrations, evaluations, and measurement projects Supporting customers with application, metrology, and process characterisation challenges Presenting and communicating technical results and application findings to customers and internal teams Troubleshooting multidisciplinary issues involving software, optics, electronics, algorithms, and mechanical systems Collaborating with Engineering and R&D teams to investigate product performance and customer feedback Supporting application development projects that improve customer workflows and system performance Acting as the voice of the customer, helping identifyopportunities for future product enhancements Developing application methods, workflows, and best practices Supporting andmaintainingour applications laboratory capability Travelling internationally and to the UK(approximately10-20%) to support customer projects and evaluations We'd love to hear from you if you have experience with Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) Semiconductor metrology Semiconductor process characterisation Surface analysis and nanoscale measurement Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM) Semiconductor inspection and measurement systems Data analysis and technical problem solving Scientific or engineering instrumentation Around5years' experience in a technical engineering or scientific environment Hands-on experience with AFM systems Supporting technical projects, demonstrations, or customer evaluations Exposure to semiconductor manufacturing, metrology, or advanced instrumentation Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Ability to present and communicate complex technical concepts clearly Experience working across engineering, scientific, and commercial teams Willingness to travel internationallyup to 20 percent and to workonsite everyday This role needs someone who already has the

permanent right to work in the UK or EU with ability to travel globally without restriction. Person type You’ll be working in a small team and liaising with global colleagues so you will need to be adaptable, able to work proactively and get things done at pace, often under pressure. Your interpersonal skills and ability to communicate are critical for what is a crucial role where we need you to deliver for our customer.
