Reports to Head of Growth & Strategy, BeLux

Team Growth & Strategy Office, alongside a second Belgium BDE

Contract Permanent, full time

About the role

Atos BeLux is a technology services business of roughly €360M revenue, operating across four markets: Belgium Private, Belgium Public, EU and International Organisations, and Aviation. We are rebuilding momentum around three strategic themes: digital sovereignty, agentic AI, and cybersecurity.

Growth in existing accounts is only half the plan. We are also going after net-new customers, and that is a different discipline from farming an installed base. This role exists to hunt.

As Senior Business Development Executive you own a defined portfolio of net-new Belgian logos, private and public sector, and you are personally accountable for getting Atos through the door. You will not inherit an account base and you will not be asked to manage renewals. Your job is to open doors that are currently closed, shape the first deal, and sign it.

You will be one of two dedicated new-logo BDEs in Belgium, working as part of the Growth & Strategy Office, with the Market Leads and the practice Business Lines behind you.

What you will do

Hunt and open net-new accounts

  • Own a prioritised portfolio of target logos across Belgian private and public sectors, with no existing Atos relationship.
  • Build and execute an account entry plan per target: mapping stakeholders, finding the entry point, and creating the first opportunity.
  • Generate your own pipeline through direct outreach, your personal network, events, partners, and referrals.

Sell consultatively at senior level

  • Engage CxO and senior decision makers with a business conversation, not a capability pitch.
  • Position the Atos narrative around digital sovereignty, agentic AI, and cybersecurity, adapted to the client's sector and agenda.
  • Lead advisory-led entry motions where a small consulting engagement opens the door to a larger relationship.

Shape and close deals

  • Qualify hard and early, and be willing to walk away from deals that will not convert.
  • Orchestrate bid teams across the practice Business Lines (Consulting, Tech Hub, Cyber, Cloud) to shape solutions and pricing.
  • Run deals through the Growth Office governance model, including pursuit and prequalification approval for larger opportunities.
  • Negotiate and close, then stay on the account through its first year.

Own the logo for its first year

  • Once a logo is signed, you own it for twelve months and drive expansion within it.
  • Hand over to the Market Lead and a Client Executive Partner at the end of that period, with a clean transition.

Operate with discipline

  • Maintain accurate pipeline data in Salesforce: stages, close dates, win probability, and outlook classification.
  • Contribute to monthly business reviews with a realistic and defensible forecast.
  • Work with marketing on account- and deal-based campaigns for your targets.

Ownership and reward model

This role carries a clear and deliberate accountability model:

  • One named owner per logo. You are the single point of accountability for breaking into your assigned accounts.
  • Twelve months of ownership. After the first signature, the logo stays with you for a year.
  • Full commission on year-one deals. You earn on everything sold into that logo during your ownership period, regardless of which Business Line delivers it.
  • Support, not hand-holding. The Growth Office provides target prioritisation, deal governance, and pre-sales and bid budget. Market Leads open sector doors and interlock the Business Lines. You own the outcome.

What you bring

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the IT services industry, with a demonstrable record of signing net-new customers, not only growing existing accounts.
  • Fluency in French and Dutch, plus professional English. Client conversations in Belgium happen in all three, and this is a hard requirement for the role.
  • Proven ability to open doors at CxO and senior management level from a cold or near-cold start.
  • Experience selling complex, multi-year IT services engagements: managed services, application services, cloud, cyber, consulting
