The QA/QC Instrument Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all instrumentation construction activities are performed in accordance with project specifications, EPC quality procedures, ATEX requirements, and international standards. The role supports the successful execution of the project by monitoring installation quality, performing inspections, and ensuring that all documentation is completed correctly.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise QA/QC activities for instrumentation construction and installation works.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, quality procedures, ATEX, and IEC 60079 requirements.
- Inspect installation of field instruments, junction boxes, cable glands, tubing, and Ex equipment.
- Verify that construction activities are completed according to approved standards and procedures.
- Review inspection records, calibration certificates, material certificates, and quality documentation.
- Perform inspections, punch walks, and follow up on NCRs and corrective actions.
- Support the Construction team in resolving quality issues and maintaining project standards.
- Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Vendors, and Client QA/QC representatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as QA/QC Instrument Supervisor on EPC Oil & Gas or Petrochemical construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of ATEX, IEC 60079, Ex equipment, and instrumentation installation requirements.
- Experience with ITPs, inspections, punch lists, NCR management, and construction documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, and instrumentation documents.
- Strong communication, reporting, and organizational skills.
- Fluent in English (project working language); knowledge of Portuguese or Italian is an advantage.
