IT Infrastructure Architect

ppWe are looking for a bSenior IT Infrastructure Requirements Solution Analyst /b to join an ambitious project within the Belgian energy sector. /ppYou will work alongside IT Infrastructure teams and other stakeholders on complex infrastructure requests, contributing to the development of reliable and sustainable IT infrastructure in a dynamic and evolving environment. /ph3Role Overview /h3pThe role focuses on the bearly analysis of complex IT Infrastructure requests /b covering several server-related infrastructure domains. /ppYou will be responsible for understanding the underlying business and technical needs, gathering the relevant information, clarifying assumptions, identifying missing elements, and assessing possible solution directions before implementation decisions are made. /ppThe scope includes bservers and application deployment on servers /b, including on-premise integration where relevant. /ppThis is bnot a cloud-only role /b and does not cover end-user devices or network topics. /ppThe role is particularly relevant when a request involves several infrastructure teams, such as Windows Operations, Linux Operations, IAM, Application Management Deployment, or Database Administration, or when a request is too complex for a rapid initial analysis. /ppThe position requires a broad and mature understanding of IT Infrastructure, but it is bnot intended as a hands-on engineering or operational implementation role /b. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliAct as the senior analyst for complex IT Infrastructure resource and service requests spanning multiple server-related infrastructure domains. /liliComplement, rather than replace, domain teams by taking ownership of requests requiring cross-domain analysis. /liliIdentify the underlying need behind incoming requests and translate incomplete or unclear input into structured and assessable infrastructure requirements. /liliChallenge assumptions, ask relevant questions, identify missing information, and document constraints, dependencies, risks, and potential impacts. /liliCollaborate with IT Infrastructure subject matter experts across Windows, Linux, IAM, Application Management Deployment, and Database Administration. /liliAssess whether requests comply with existing IT standards and identify areas where standards are unclear, incomplete, or not yet documented. /liliPrepare clear and well-founded request files for review and approval, including requirements, potential options, constraints, risks, costs, and operational impacts. /liliProvide architectural input and support decision preparation when required. /liliContribute to infrastructure and server architecture activities, representing approximately b20% of the role /b, while keeping the main focus on requirements analysis, solution shaping, and decision preparation. /li /ulh3Requirements /h3ulliDegree in Computer Science, training as a specialist in system integration, or equivalent professional experience. /liliProven senior experience in bIT Infrastructure /b, preferably within complex enterprise environments. /liliBroad knowledge of server-related infrastructure domains, including:ulliWindows Server /liliActive Directory / ADFS /liliDatabases /liliStorage /liliApplication management and deployment /liliRDP solutions /liliContainerized solutions /liliSecurity principles /liliOn-premise / cloud integration /li /ul /liliAbility to understand and challenge technical input from subject matter experts without necessarily being the hands-on expert in every domain. /liliStrong experience in requirements gathering, request clarification, fact finding, solution analysis, and preparation of decision material. /liliAbility to identify and compare solution options against standards, constraints, and operational requirements. /liliStrong conceptual and architectural understanding of IT Infrastructure. /liliExperience evolving from technical infrastructure activities toward banalysis, solution shaping, and decision preparation /b. /liliThis is bnot primarily a hands-on implementation position /b. /li /ulh3Languages : /h3ulliFluent spoken bDutch and French /b, with one of the two languages at native level. /li /ul /p
