They gain greater independence over time for various activities that include but are not necessarily limited to early engagement of potential customers, proposal development in response to RFPs, participation in client proposal bid defense meetings, medical director and subject matter expertise as a consultant throughout the research and development lifecycle and the duration of clinical trials, and/or as an independent customer solution. They collaborate across the organization to ensure that all of IQVIA's resources are fully leveraged in opportunities. - Essential Functions /h3 ul lipWork independently of the therapeutic area head. /p /li lipDemonstrate independence in strategic proposal development in conjunction with other members of the proposal development team. /p /li lipParticipate in client proposal bid defense meetings as a leader, medical director and subject matter expert. /p /li lipAct as consultant throughout the research and development life cycle and the duration of clinical trials; and/or as a standalone independent customer solution. /p /li lipFormulate clinical development plans and is responsible for the execution of the group strategy and leads the strategic direction of the Center of Excellence. /p /li /ul h3Required Education and Experience /h3 ul lipExperience: Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience. /p /li lipKnowledge: Requires exceptional business knowledge to drive results for the organization. Applies extensive business and industry expertise and provides organizational thought leadership. /p /li lipAt least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a CRO setting. Candidates from a CRO background should have held a senior strategic role, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities and significant expertise in bObesity. /b /p /li /ul h3Education: /h3 ul lipTerminal degree (MD) /p /li lipPractical knowledge in leading and managing execution of processes, projects and tactics within the research and development therapeutic area. /p /li lipbBoard Certification in Cardiology, Endocrinology, or Nephrology is required. /b /p /li /ul h3Travel Requirements /h3 pOccasional travel.
