h3Freelance Contract – December 2026 – December 2027 /h3 h3Candidates must hold the independent write to be able to work as a freelancer in belgium /h3 h3Fluent in English Dutch OR French /h3 pWe are seeking an experienced Data Manager Governance Specialist to ensure data quality, integrity, and regulatory compliance within a leading financial services organisation. /p pYou will promote a strong data governance culture, embed data-by-design principles, and work closely with Business, IT, Risk, and Legal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liEnsure end-to-end data quality, integrity, and protection. /li liMonitor data quality controls, identify risks, and coordinate remediation actions. /li liEnsure compliance with GDPR, BCBS 239, and internal governance policies. /li liMaintain data dictionaries, business terms, and data lineage documentation. /li liEmbed data governance requirements into projects, systems, and Agile delivery. /li liCollaborate with IT, Risk, Legal, and the Data Office on data-related matters. /li liPromote data governance awareness and elevate critical risks when necessary. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liMinimum 7 years of overall professional experience, ideally in banking or financial services. /li liAt least 5 years of experience in data management, governance, or risk reporting. /li liStrong knowledge of GDPR, BCBS 239, data quality, and data lineage. /li liFamiliarity with Wikidata, EDM, API governance, and ISO 20022 is an advantage. /li liExcellent stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills. /li liFluent in English, with Dutch and/or French in line with local requirements. /li liRelevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree; CDMP or CIPP/E certification is a plus. /li /ul
