Are you an experienced HR professional seeking a new challenge in an international legal environment? An exciting opportunity is available for a HR Manager to join a well-established law practice in Brussels on a full-time, permanent basis.
This role offers the opportunity to combine operational HR management with strategic initiatives, working closely with local and international stakeholders to support talent development, employee engagement and organisational performance.
Your responsibilities :
- Provide guidance on employee relations, wellbeing, performance management and HR best practices.
- Oversee onboarding, employee development and offboarding processes.
- Maintain HR policies and documentation in line with Belgian employment legislation and data protection requirements.
- Coordinate salary reviews, bonuses, benefits and payroll-related activities.
- Manage local recruitment, build relationships with external agencies and support inclusive hiring practices.
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development initiatives.
- Contribute to initiatives that promote diversity, equality and an inclusive workplace.
- Manage trainee programmes and support the development of future talent.
- Coordinate local HR support for international assignments and employee integration.
- Analyse HR data, provide management insights and lead initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with local and international teams to deliver a consistent, high-quality HR service.
About you :
- You communicate fluently in English and French. Dutch is an advantage.
- You have generalist HR experience, ideally in a legal or professional services environment.
- You possess a good understanding of Belgian employment law and HR best practices.
- You build effective relationships and provide practical, business-oriented HR advice.
- You are comfortable using HR systems, analysing data and applying AI-enabled tools critically.
- You demonstrate initiative, adaptability and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- You have excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- You are organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- You handle confidential matters with discretion and demonstrate integrity and professionalism.
- You value diversity and contribute to a collaborative and inclusive working environment.
