We zijn op zoek naar een Quality Test Engineer om ons team te versterken. In die functie neem je deel aan het testen van alle ontwikkelingen en andere functionaliteiten, en zorg je voor een monitoring van iteraties/wijzigingen.

Je taken

Als testverantwoordelijke is het jouw taak om de kwaliteit en betrouwbaarheid van de uitgevoerde tests te garanderen. Hieronder volgen je belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Testscenario's voorbereiden en verbeteren: je bereidt testscenario’s voor, evalueert en verbetert ze. Daarbij let je erop dat ze de te testen functionaliteiten volledig afdekken. Dit omvat een analyse van de acceptatiecriteria, de integratie ervan in de testscenario’s en het toepassen van een methodologie om een evenwichtige afdekking van de testscope gedurende het project te garanderen. Je zorgt ervoor dat de testscenario's gestructureerd zijn voor regelmatig onderhoud en updates.
  • De testbibliotheek beheren: je organiseert en onderhoudt een testbibliotheek, waarin de verschillende testcases op een duidelijke en gedetailleerde manier worden gedocumenteerd. Het is ook jouw taak om deze bibliotheek te delen met potentiële gebruikers om een efficiënt en consistent gebruik van de tests te garanderen.
  • Componenten verifiëren en handmatige tests monitoren: je controleert de beschikbaarheid van de verschillende componenten en gegevens die nodig zijn om de tests uit te voeren. Daarnaast monitor je de uitvoering van handmatige testcases door business users en zie je erop toe dat het vastgelegde testplan wordt gevolgd. Je zorgt ook voor een kwaliteitscontrole van de delivery en van de functionaliteiten, in samenwerking met de businessverantwoordelijke, om te waarborgen dat de business requirements correct zijn geïmplementeerd.
  • Resultaten documenten en anomalieën beheren: je zorgt voor de rapportering en documentatie van de testresultaten, inclusief statistieken over het aantal uitgevoerde testcases en hun conformiteit. Je identificeert en documenteert eventuele afwijkingen of fouten (defecten), met uitgebreide documentatie voor ontwikkelaars om fouten te begrijpen en te corrigeren. Je bepaalt ook de ernst van defecten in samenwerking met de vertegenwoordiger van de business en je ziet erop toe dat defecten worden gecorrigeerd zonder regressie te veroorzaken.
  • De betrouwbaarheid van tests waarborgen en aanbevelingen doen aan de businessverantwoordelijken: je moet de businessverantwoordelijke ervan verzekeren dat de tests betrouwbaar zijn. In dat verband doe je aanbevelingen voor het behalen van milestones of demo's. Je geeft advies en suggesties om testprocessen te verbeteren en ervoor te zorgen dat de businessnoden adequaat worden afgedekt.
Welke vaardigheden en talenten breng jij mee naar Ethias?
  • 4 tot 8 jaar ervaring in handmatig testen van software.
  • Goede kennis van testconcepten,
    -technieken en -methodologieën.
  • Ervaring met SDLC-methodologieën (software development life cycle), zoals Agile.
  • Vertrouwd met bug-tracking tools, zoals Jira/XRAY.
  • Vaardigheid in het opstellen van testplannen, testcases en testrapporten.
  • In staat om problemen te analyseren en op te lossen.
  • ISTQB®-certificering (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) is een pluspunt.
  • Uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden.
  • Gestructureerde, pragmatische en oplossingsgerichte aanpak.
  • Uitstekende beheersing van het Nederlands of Frans. Goede kennis van het Engels.
  • Kennis van de verzekeringswereld, met name levensverzekeringen, is sterk aanbevolen.
