Our curriculum is British based and uniquely adapted to the needs of our international and diverse student body. There is an Early Childhood Centre for children aged 1-3. Our Primary School offers a bespoke enquiry-based curriculum. Students in Year 10 & 11 study for (I)GCSE and BTEC courses. Post-16 students can choose from three internationally recognised pre-university examination courses: English A Levels, International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or BTEC. Our Enrichment programme is exceptional, offering over 100 activities per week.

He/she will be responsible for carrying out the professional duties of a Speech and Language Therapist, in line with the Philosophy and Objectives of the school.
Teaching and Learning
Assess referred students giving cause for concern, in terms of communication skills Determine the caseload of students, establishing priorities by considering severity and need. Plan and deliver a programme of therapy to students either on an individual or group basis Support the class teachers working with SLI students, by offering advice, support and professional learning Keep adequate planning and progress records for the students Promote the inclusion of SLI students within schoolProfessional Development
Participate in the school, team and individual review process Actively seek professional learning (PL) opportunities in order to keep up to date with current SLT practice and assessment methods Participate in school arrangements for training and professional development Attend staff meetings as appropriate Provide appropriate PL for other staff as and when requiredCommunication
Attend review and parent meetings to provide feedback on progress Report back to and liaise with class teachers, other AEN staff, parents, Occupational Therapist,…General Duties
Reinforce and safe guard students health and safety Participate in general school duties when required e.g. playground dutiesQualifications:
Qualified Speech & Language Therapist (Bachelor or Masters degree) Fluent English speaker and accurate written English (medium of speech and language therapy delivery is English) Attributes: FlexibilityTeam PlayerConfidentialityGood CommunicatorAbility to set schedules for SLT sessions and maintain recordsConfidence in delivering professional learning to staff and presenting (as necessary) in meetings Assets: Extra OMFT professional qualificationExperience of speech and language delays and subsequent therapies in a school settingExperience and/or knowledge of supporting multilingual speech and language developmentKnowledge of UK education curricula and practiceExperience of working with very young childrenExperience of feedback meetings with parentsThe Person:
