UNICEF België is op zoek naar een ervaren Accounting & Finance Officer die mee zorgt voor een accuraat en transparant financieel beheer en de bijbehorende rapportering. Als Accounting & Finance Officer treed je op als volwaardige business partner voor de diverse departementen in onze organisatie waarbij je hen ondersteunt bij het budgetbeheer in het kader van de jaarlijkse businessplannen en fungeert als aanspreekpunt voor financieel technische vragen.
Je werkt nauw samen met de Finance Director en de andere collega Accounting & Finance Officer, en onderhoudt goede relaties met de collega’s uit de andere departementen.

VERANTWOORDELIJKHEDEN
Beheer van de boekhouding: Je voert de boekhouding uit in overeenstemming met de boekhoudkundige wetten; Je onderhoudt financiële gegevens in de verschillende boekhoudsystemen en databases, waarbij je zorgt voor nauwkeurigheid, consistentie en kwaliteit; Je draagt bij aan de internationale doelstellingen op het gebied van kostenbeheer en sociale impact; Je speelt een actieve rol in de voorbereiding van periodieke gegevens en in de verschillende fasen van de boekhoudkundige afsluiting. Instaan voor een accurate en tijdige Btw-aangifte. Dagelijks beheer: Je houdt toezicht op de verwerking van facturen (voorbereiding, verwerking, follow-up, enz.); Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het beheer van debiteuren en het opvolgen van betalingen (in en uit); Je bereidt nauwkeurig de betalingen voorbestemd voor de internationale programma's van UNICEF op het terrein en garandeert de uitvoering ervan in overeenstemming met internationale procedures. Rapportering: Je stelt periodieke rapporten op voor de Raad van Bestuur en het Auditcomité van UNICEF België; Je stelt periodieke rapporten op voor de internationale structuren van UNICEF; Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de maandelijkse rapportering aan de interne departementen en voor de opvolging van hun budgetten. Je formuleert hierbij financiële opmerkingen en doet aanbevelingen ter verbetering van de financiële prestaties (en procedures); Je treedt op als interne adviseur voor je collega's buiten de afdeling Finance; Je rapporteert cijfers (boekhouding, KPI's, etc.) naar de verschillende autoriteiten en externe instanties (DGD, AERF, C-1212, etc.); Je blijft op de hoogte van wijzigingen (of nieuwe vereisten) in de verschillende registratie- en rapporteringssystemen en past de interne procedures en tools hierop aan. Kennis: Je schoolt je financiële kennis permanent bij zodat je op de hoogte blijft van nieuwe en veranderende regelgeving; Je documenteert en actualiseert financiële procedures op een gestructureerde en duidelijke manier; Je zorgt voor kennisoverdracht en opleiding van je collega(s) binnen het Finance team. Processen en procedures: Je bent goed in het communiceren over en het toezien op de naleving van interne financiële procedures; Je volgt markttrends, op basis waarvan je aanbevelingen doet om de financiële werking en procedures in de organisatie te optimaliseren. Projectmanagement: Je bent in staat om financiële projecten van A tot Z uit te voeren; Je hebt ervaring met het analyseren en ontwikkelen van een business case (scope, budget, timing, middelen) waarbij je altijd de strategische doelstellingen van de organisatie centraal voor ogen houdt; Je bent in staat om financiële projecten succesvol uit te voeren en te implementeren binnen de vooraf gedefinieerde parameters. Andere financiële activiteiten: Je beheert contacten met banken en andere financiële instellingen; Je speelt een actieve rol in de opvolging van de verschillende subsidies van Unicef België. Gewenst profielVAARDIGHEDEN EN ERVARING
Je beschikt over een bachelor- of masterdiploma in boekhouding of finance en hebt ten minste 5 jaar relevante ervaring in het vakgebied. Je erkent het belang en de noodzaak van een kwalitatief hoogstaande boekhouding en financieel beheer; Je treedt op als een echte business partner binnen de organisatie waarbij je collega’s ondersteunt en helpt bij het naleven van de financiële procedures en hen van het belang ervan voor de organisatie overtuigt; Een absolute meerwaarde zou zijn: Ervaring in een grote (internationale) organisatie; Kennis van de NGO-sector of financieel beheer van een stichting. Je werkt gedisciplineerd en nauwkeurig. Punctualiteit is je tweede natuur. Je neemt taken en verantwoordelijkheden proactief en op een autonome manier ter harte. Je weet hoe je een project op een gecoördineerde/planmatige manier tot een goed einde brengt. Je bent een echte doorzetter, kan omgaan met wisselende werkdruk en je stelt je flexibel op wanneer je een deadline moet halen. Je bent leergierig en weet nieuwigheden op een accurate manier in de praktijk om te zetten; Je bent in staat kennis duidelijk over te dragen en je collega(s) te ondersteunen; Je bent een echte teamspeler; Je bent een vlotte communicator; Je bent zeer goed tweetalig. Frans of Nederlands is je moedertaal en je hebt een zeer actieve kennis van de andere landstaal (Nederlands of Frans). Een (passieve) kennis van het Engels is ook vereist.
