As a Project Operations Manager, you will optimize the functioning and cooperation of the operational departments of Sarens Projects (HUB 2). Together with an awesome team you ensure that all technical heavy lifting and engineered transport projects are successfully executed and clients’ expectation are exceeded. Due to strong growth we are looking for an experienced Operations Manager . In this position as a Project Operations Manager you will be responsible for streamlining and optimizing the functioning and cooperation of the operational departments of the company (CRG, PRG and TS).

Your job as an Operations Manager in a nutshell:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the operational departments of Sarens Projects HUB 2. Monitor the major projects in terms of technical solution and operational progress “budget – scope (contract management) – timing” in order to challenge / redirect the Project Managers and keep in touch with the operational side of projects. Manage budgets and financial planning. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, legal and HR legislation. Manage, motivate and coach a team of Managers. Identify areas for improvement in processes and procedures. Optimize, develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. As an Operations Manager you report to the Deputy Managing Director Sarens Project Europe & Latam and you work closely with almost every department within Sarens.

Profile

We are looking for a driven strategist who can monitor the helicopter view and ensure that the various processes and teams are aligned . You are a born organizer ; you set the right priorities at the right time. When actions are required, you quickly switch with a solution-oriented attitude and you communicate clearly and structured to your team. You are customer-oriented , cost-conscious and you have a strong strategic and analytical insight . As a good people manager you turn individuals into a team and get energy from well-organized teamwork and successfully completed projects .

The profile requirements:

Technical bachelor / master degree (e.g. construction, engineering…) At least 10 years’ experience as a Project Manager in an international technical project environment (e.g. heavy lifting, steel construction, assembly works…) Strong communication skills in Dutch and English (written and spoken) Flexible attitude towards tasks, hours and locations (travel +/- 10%)
