The assignment
Our client is looking for a Solution Architect within our SmartFab program with a focus on data for the R&D community. This position is important to our mission of enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our R&D teams through the strategic offering of R&D data and capabilities.
- As a Solution Architect, you will be designing solutions that streamline the acquisition and transformation of data from our state-of-the-art cleanroom tools and that link this data to the manufacturing context in which this data was created.
- The solutions will offer the data to the R&D community in a structured format, through practical interfaces (API's, web user interfaces, ...).
- We are looking for an individual with a keen eye for data and application architecture, an analytical mind, a talent for bringing structure and clarity, and a collaborative spirit to join our team of innovators.
- Your contributions will play a crucial role in driving our client's SmartFab program towards greater heights of research and development excellence.
- You will be working in the context of our Azure data platform, where we develop and use the latest technologies in data engineering and data science to help our researchers go from raw data to insights.
- Our R&D data initiative is called "R&D³", which stands for R&D Data Dream: the dream of every researcher to have all the date they need at their fingertips. The R&D³ program is a part of our Smartfab initiative.
- As a solution architect, it is your role to onboard more data from more cleanroom tools to our data platform and to build more interfaces and use cases together with our data engineers, our front-end engineers and our R&D key users.
Required knowledge and skills
- Solution architecture and business analysis as core capabilities.
- Knowledge of Data is a key differentiator (Data architecture, Data modelling, Data engineering, Data science, ...).
- Knowledge of a cloud-based application stack is a key differentiator.
- Understanding of Rest API's, SQL, ...
- Experience with our technology stack is a plus (Azure, PowerBI, Spark, Python, Containers, Airflow, ...).
- Fluent in English.
- Excellent communication skills with diverse audiences.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Ability to own technical solutions from idea to delivery.
