Epic Delivery Owner – Data & AI Transformation

Location: Brussels (Hybrid – 8 days per month onsite mandatory)

Contract: 12 Months (Extension likely)

Rate: €700 – 900 per day

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Epic Delivery Owner to lead the delivery of strategic enterprise-wide Data & AI initiatives within one of Europe's most respected financial institutions.

This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role in a major transformation programme that is reshaping how data, analytics and AI are leveraged across the organisation. You will be responsible for delivering complex, high-value initiatives that enable trusted data, intelligent automation and AI-powered business capabilities.

Working across business and technology, you will orchestrate multiple delivery teams, engage senior stakeholders and ensure successful execution of large-scale transformation programmes within a highly regulated environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own the end-to-end delivery of strategic Data & AI Epics from initiation through to implementation.
• Lead complex enterprise programmes involving multiple Agile delivery teams and technical workstreams.
• Build and maintain integrated delivery plans, budgets, milestones and governance.
• Manage programme risks, dependencies, issues and critical delivery decisions.
• Coordinate Architecture, Engineering, Data, Platform and Business teams to ensure successful execution.
• Act as the primary interface between senior business stakeholders and technology leadership.
• Lead governance forums, Steering Committees and executive reporting.
• Drive effective stakeholder engagement, negotiating priorities and managing changing business requirements.
• Monitor programme budgets, forecasting and supplier performance where applicable.
• Champion continuous improvement across delivery practices, governance and execution.

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience delivering large-scale IT programmes within complex enterprise organisations.
• Proven background leading enterprise transformation initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of enterprise governance, programme planning and delivery management.
• Demonstrable experience managing budgets, risks, dependencies and executive reporting.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
• Ability to bridge business objectives with technical delivery teams.

Highly Desirable Experience

Experience delivering one or more of the following:

• Enterprise Data Platforms
• Data Transformation programmes
• Data Governance initiatives
• Cloud Data Platforms
• Data Warehousing / Data Lakes
• Analytics platforms
• AI or Machine Learning initiatives
• Enterprise reporting and business intelligence programmes

Experience within Financial Services or other highly regulated industries would be advantageous.

Hybrid working: 8 days per month onsite in Brussels is mandatory. The remainder of the contract can be worked remotely.
